My friends and I vist there every weekend during the Virginia Renaissance Festival. The staff is lovely, the food is GREAT, and the facilities are always clean. They are very kind all of us.

What a scam. The vast majority of the items are not marked with prices, so you have to bring the items to the register in order to find out how much they cost. They are counting on you being too embarrassed to say the items are too expensive for you, once they’ve gone to the trouble to scan them.

Showed up for lunch on good advice! I often work in this area, and today my client suggested that I stop here for lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped me with the menu. They were having a technical issue with the register when I arrived, but were efficiently and effectively helping customers despite this. I will definitely be stopping by for lunch more often when I'm out this way!

As far as the store side of things is concerned, they have LOADS of options for snacks, candy, and beverages. The store, kitchen and even bathrooms were all exceptionally clean during my visit. 5/5 service, cleanliness, and stock makes me really wish this store was closer to home for me!

The team they have working here are top notch. Everyone is friendly, competent and playful. I absolutely love coming here when I am in town. Food is fantastic, restrooms and store are clean, but really, it’s the people that keep me coming back.

I love the new gas pumps! 💚. & The deli is where everyone can find something they like! Homemade salads (chicken salad, tuna and egg salad), fresh burgers, and steak and cheese! But the best fried chicken in the county if you ask me! You can even call in orders and they will get it ready! It’s your BEST stop before going to the lake!

The first time I walked into 208 was almost 10 years ago. I was new to the area and starving so I had a steak and cheese and soon realized how great the deli is and 10 years later it still is the best deli around. I immediately felt welcomed and loved the store. Now that i work here and see how much the store has grown since i first came here is exciting and i cant wait to see what the future holds. I feel blessed to work for such an awesome family who I now consider family.

I'm from Baltimore MD and I've stopped in 208 Variety Store a few times while traveling to the power plant for work. All I can say is AWESOME FOOD AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF! So if your in the area do your self a favor stop and give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.
