My family really enjoyed Choctafaula. It was our first time visiting. We spent $42 for 3 adult tickets and a bucket of feed. Very similar to what you would spend at other pumpkin patches. They offer plenty of activities for the children and tons of picture opportunities for the mamas. Our favorite part of the whole experience were of course the animals.

We came from Pike Road and found it to be an easy drive over to Auburn (it’s off the Bucee’s exit BTW)

Our kids had a blast. Everything was nearly organized with no real wait. We did get there early in the morning since it was cooler and the kiddos were up. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Loved the fun day with my two year old granddaughter. They have a real pumpkin patch. Animals and so much more it was fun for our whole family. Feeding the giraffe was our favorite.

Really cool place. Lots of cool animals, fun things to do for families. Seems well run. HOWEVER my only negative is that the guy narrating the hayride (I believe the owner?) seemed to completely disregard that his audience was mostly kids and proceeded to GRAPHICALLY describe mating rituals, castration, and pregnancy of the animals. It was shocking.

The faces on the children listening in confusion was pitiful. Even as an adult, I don’t want to hear that much detail. And it wasn’t a one off - he kept talking about it nearly the entire time. He also went into violent details about animals attacking each other and also awkwardly brought up at the beginning that they had to put an animal down because it had cancer. In front of mostly kids. At what’s supposed to be a fun family hayride. READ THE ROOM?

He even said a couple times, “I know I shouldn’t be saying this much, someone’s gonna report me” and then continued to talk about these totally inappropriate things in front of children. Very weird.

Would most likely still return and I think other than that it was a great attraction for families but owner definitely needs to tone that WAY down because we were all in disbelief that he thought any of that was appropriate. Glad my niece was too young to understand. Just be aware if going on the hayride with children.

Hopefully this is addressed and a much more family-friendly narrative is used going forward.

My mom also wanted me to add that there is apparently “Hawk Tuah” merch in the gift store which again seems super odd for a family-oriented attraction.

The hay ride safari was awesome. The petting zoo looks like the animals need more room. Hopefully once they get the funds together they can give the petting zoo animals the space they need.

We had our wedding here in June and it was the perfect venue! Patrick and Savannah were extremely responsive and accommodating. They were on top of every detail we needed help with. They even shuttled us out to take pictures in the most beautiful field! I cannot say enough about Choctafaula and its owners for a wedding. It was perfect!
