One of my favorite sandwiches, as a kid, was tuna with alfalfa sprouts. Then sprouts all but disappeared from the stores. Thrilled to once again be able to add these lovelies back onto my lunch menu and explore other ways to enjoy them.

What a waste of money. Never again. First, they over seed the containers when they plant them and it means hard broccoli seeds in the mix of my anticipated lovely greens. Second, that nasty medium they grow their sprouts on is woven into your sprouts. They claim it's edible, but it's not listed on the ingredients list. I am pretty sure that's illegal. If it's edible and interspersed in my food, you better list it on the ingredients list. I don't do the stupid scan codes, so, no I will not be giving you my phone data.

I was especially mad about the growing medium all over the sprout stems, because I share my sprouts with my dogs and tortoises, and I need to know what it's made from to know if it's toxic to either. They are just asking for a law suit. Plus, the best thing about sprouts is their crunch and that stuff is nasty. After I pain painstakingly picked it all off, I had sprout nubs...not the long, lovely, crunch of sprouts for my egg salad sandwich that I love. My lunch this week is ruined and this stuff is not even organic, and it's $5 a tiny carton for nasty sprouts that look like they have mold growing all over them. Never again.

UPDATE: In response to their reply: The packing says, "What the Fuzz? See the fuzzy white stuff? It's edible and living proof of freshness." "Learn more inside." Well, when you flip the lid over it has a QC code to learn more. This is why I presumed it was the growing medium. Their packaging is confusing at best. Just tell people what is. My confusion is because you are not clear. It does not change the fact that there is not a lot of stem to your sprouts and if a person is expecting the long, clean spouts that are crunchy not full of unsprouted seeds, they will be disappointed.

Leave in the hard seeds and you will crunch down and break your teeth/fillings. The absolute WORST & no response from company. So irresponsible
