The most diverse variety of orchids I have ever seen. My orchids from Costco pale in comparison to these unique beauties. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about his plants. I didn't think that I'd be talking to a horticulturist and get a history lesson about each strain. This nursery is the only place you need to go to find the most magnificent orchids.

I went in the Summer, but was told Spring is the best time to visit when these perennials begin to bloom.

5 stars. Bought 5 orchids, all different varieties of paphiopedilum, and they're doing great. 4 are totally thriving, new big healthy roots and leaves, and one was struggling for a while but has new growth. I emailed a question, and Norman himself called me back in person. Now THAT is good customer service.

My recent order was a nightmare. I would give 0 star if I would. I have heard of their terrible online shopping experience, but since they have some denrobiums which not available elsewhere. I decided to give it a try. I ordered five dendrobiums, only one arrived without issues. One of them is labeled differently than what I ordered and in terrible condition—no leaves or any new growth, but they marked it as mature plant. Another plant, brought as premium size with buds/blooms, arrived bare. Two more were supposed to be Premium and Mature Size but came as tiny, unhealthy keiki size which I'm not sure if they will survive.

Their customer service is a joke—unreachable by phone no matter when you call them. And barely responsive by email. After weeks of chasing them, they offered a measly $7 refund, which I never got, and refused to pay for return shipping. This company is a scam. Save your money and shop elsewhere!

I had the opportunity to visit the nursery twice (~2 years apart) when visiting relatives in a nearby city. The first time I actually got to meet Mr. Norman at the cash register. His background in horticulture is evident by the quality of orchids in the showroom--and SoCal weather helps too. From the two times I went, the staff are very friendly, and the orchids are top quality--you really get what you pay for! I have not purchased online, so I can't speak to that experience, but I am confident the quality and service would be just as good. I purchased a Catt, Paph, Onc, and a bag of bark medium.
Also, there is a youtube channel for care tips that is helpful. If anyone is in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to browse and appreciate the plants!

Update on 5/24/2023! Still the best place get the most beautiful orchids! I just received a shipment of 5 orchids today which were perfectly packed and arrived in perfect conditions! Pictures attached!

Best orchids in the world! Have been buying from them for years and I have yet to have one single complaint. Wonderful selection, fabulous shipping department, and every order arrives on time. They are very knowledgable and responsive to questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I've added some pictures of my recent purchases!

I visit Norman’s Orchids frequently and it’s always a pleasant experience. The staff is very helpful and kind. If you are looking for something special or good advice on growing orchids, Norman and company has got your back. I love the beautiful selection of orchids.
