Joe has an amazing collection and selection of plants. He has quite a few rare and hard to find plants at reasonable prices. Joe is also very knowledgeable when it comes to the culture of the plants he has. Just an amazing experience - I almost got a little out of hand as I wanted to buy everything.

Really awesome nursery with tons of exotic and rare plants!
Joe is a very knowledgeable person with a passion for growing, moreso than I've seen at other nurseries.
He does prefer appointments also so please call his phone number or text him, he responds quickly also!
I'm a cactus guy and he had so many awesome specimens I've only seen only ever seen online, and some good prices also!

When you come here stay to the right off of the main road towards where the green houses are and Joe's truck is the tan Tacoma in the front when he is there.

Joe is an absolute delight and loves to talk plants. Extremely knowledgeable with an enormous collection of orchids, cacti, and epiphytes, many of which are rare. Go see this wonderful place!

There is nothing like this nursery in town, possibly in the world. You can't ask for this level of enthusiasm, knowledge and care in understanding and maintaining exotic plants. Upon visiting, Joey (the owner) will tour you though all of his hard work, explaining the history, usage and care of every plant he excitedly has nurtured (including some of his own unique hybrids.) Seriously, go here and your home will be enhanced with some of the most amazing and unusual life forms. Don't miss it.

Ambriz is quite a nursery and a hidden gem in Carpenteria. Joe has a nice collection of cattleya and laelia orchids with some impressive specimens and good prices. Many rare cactuses, succulents, tilandsia and other plants. Will return!

Joe has the SICKEST collection for sale, so many things from all over the globe! Has stuff some people can't obtain otherwise, and a WEALTH of knowledge is an understatement. His family is a staple in mine now, and I'm going to Ambriz Kingdom of Plants whenever I got the bug for a new cactus or succulent or air plant or orchid!
