Grands had a blast and learned American history today. They ate real churned butter, fresh baked bread, honey and pork tenderloin! Each picked a pumpkin and ride the hayride!

We really enjoyed the farm! For the price of $12, we got to pet a lot of animals, go on a hay ride, pick a pumpkin, and listen to some great bluegrass. A really fun time! We went during cowboy weekend and got to see a fake gun show which was super cool.

I only docked one star because of the tombstones next to the hayride entrance. It might have been the traveling theater troupe’s or it might have been decorations from the farmer, but either way, the blatant racism on the gravestones made our group uncomfortable and feel a bit unsafe.

So, really fun time, but uncomfortable at the end.

My child's grade recently had a field trip here. I was not impressed, especially for the price I paid for tickets. My child $15 & myself $9, plus us parents had to drive an hour to the farm. The only thing I believe the kids enjoyed was getting to see the animals, petting a baby goat, & piglet, & then getting to play on the hay playground after eating lunch. I'm just glad the rain held off until it was time to leave.

Old Baker Farm was a great way to spend the afternoon! I figured you go in and pick a pumpkin and that’s it but no, it was much more than that. We took a hayride to pick up pumpkin, and they even had carts to carry the pumpkin back to your car. there was at least 40 or 50 vendors with tent, set up to browse and shop. There was also multiple places to buy snacks or food such as hamburgers and chicken finger plates as well as popcorn and fresh fried pork skins. And if that was not enough, there was even a live bluegrass band for entertainment with picnic tables to sit and watch from. They had live farm animals from chickens and turkeys to goats and horses. We even spent 30 minutes watching an old west Circus style sad show with a bearded lady, strong man and a trick shot cowboy! Everyone had a great time and the place was very clean and organized. It was $13 to get in which included a pumpkin from the patch. If you paid cash, it was only $12. I would certainly recommend this for good family entertainment, and will certainly be going back again next year around this time! Be sure to watch the short video I uploaded of the bluegrass band, playing their version of “Salty Dog” Enjoy!!!

My kid's school went here on a field trip, and we had a great time. The people who own/run the farm are super kind, passionate, and great with kids. Lots to do for a family, whether you're picking out a pumpkin, cutting down a tree, or just enjoying a hay ride. I recommend checking them out!
