Last summer, four of us visited RHS Hyde Hall, and it turned out to be a fantastic day. The garden is beautifully laid out, with a variety of stunning plant displays, each section offering a different theme and atmosphere. We especially loved the garden kitchen areas, which were full of inspiration for anyone interested in growing their own food or just enjoying beautiful outdoor spaces.

After exploring the garden, we stopped by the garden centre on the way out, which was well-stocked with plants and gardening accessories. It’s a perfect spot to pick up something for your own garden or just to browse.

The ice cream van on site was a lovely treat, offering a nice refreshment after our walk around the grounds. The combination of beautiful gardens, peaceful surroundings, and a relaxing café made it an ideal spot for a family day out.

Overall, RHS Hyde Hall is well worth a visit—whether you’re a gardening enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful place to explore!

Fantastic garden well worth a visit even in the depths of winter. There is a special winter garden walk with a great display of woven willow and many brightly coloured dogwoods. Still plenty of interest in the other areas.
Two nice cafes with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Very helpful staff.
Admission price is a bit steep if you're not a member of the RHS.

Loved our visit to RHS Hyde Hall. While we were staying 15 minutes away, we thought we would take the opportunity to visit. Many different areas to wander and enjoy. Although late summer, there was still plenty if colour to enjoy, especially the sunflowers 🌻 we also enjoyed the vegetable area, the dry gardens , the ponds and the immaculately kept gardens and grounds. We had lunch in the cafe in the gardens. There is also one near the entrance which you can visit without paying the garden entrance fee. which was very enjoyable. We had to wait for a table as everyone had fled inside during a sudden down pour. Staff were friendly and informative. The gift shop is large and well stocked. We wish we had upgraded our entrance fee to full membership during our visit. Maybe we will do this next time.

My family took a trip here to the "GLOW" event that is held around Christmas each year and we all loved it. Lots of amazing photo opportunities, and the lights set up around the garden are a spectacle that can be seen for miles around.

The store and cafe after the gardens could be a trip all on their own because they have so much to look at and a lovely atmosphere whilst we warmed back up with a coffee.

We went as a family for the Christmas lights. I had my reservations but it was wonderful. The lights were over a huge area and they were amazing. Very nice cafe too. We will return in the spring to enjoy the gardens in the day

It is a lovely way to celebrate Christmas with a family walk around the grounds. The lights illuminating the trees, plants and pond were beautiful. The colours were so vibrant giving a magical feeling to the evening.

If you're local, I would definitely recommend buying the annual membership.

Currently in October they are running a promotion, the entrance price is deducted from annual membership. You can choose to upgrade after you visit. Within the membership, you're allowed to bring in a guest free on visits. Perfect place for taking a friend for a catch-up walk etc.

I would say their cafe/s need a lot of work though. They were extremely busy (being fair) during our visit, but we had to chase them to collect our order, and for the part of the order that did make it to our table, took a long time and was warm rather than hot.

Visited tonight for Glow. Lovely evening, well organised and some beautiful displays. My two criticisms are that it was a little underwhelming and was seriously overpriced. The hot chocolate stall was outrageous, at £5.50 per hot chocolate! I would still recommend a visit though
