Went to buy a part for my trimmer and of course they had the part which was overpriced but good quality. I generally don't go there because the old man that used to own or still owns it was always rude. Kid that helped me was cool but then some guy pops out that looks like the owners son has the same mean look as the dad. No how you doing or you finding everything OK. Just a serious suspicious look. This must be a Hobbie for them or they just don't trust us.

I had my Wen generator, Honda lawn mower, and Honda string timmer serviced. They were super in their work and very friendly. For example, I told them if they would replace the lawn mower blade. They looked at the blade and told me that sharping the blade is enough, no need to replace it. It saved me money. The service charges were definitely on the lowest side. I am very happy with them.

This business has been here since, well forever!
The owner is super nice. I have purchased a used Billy goat from him in the past.
They sell new and used equipment as well as service them. Today I came in to have my 4 stroke Makita leaf blower repaired. Unfortunately apparently they can not get parts from Makita. The owner was kind enough to give me a referral for who in the area can do the repairs.

I was introduced to the technicians by an old friend. They are quite knowledgeable in all things small motor. Straight talk with regard to condition of equipment and if it is worth fixing. They only sell high quality equipment and they stand behind it.... Way behind it. Also found out they have a electric tool repair expert, he specializes in all things electric. Brought in a broken toy that my wife "loved for years" and he was able to bring it back to life with even more vibration than before and assured me he tested it himself! Happy wife, happy life! Thanks guys

Owner's indifference toward his customers was something that I had not experienced or felt since the 70's.
I brought in my power washer for repair, he said it will be ready in a few days, took 4 trips and a whole month to get my machine back, he said it was just an oil change that was done and charged me $85- to get my machine back.

Bought a used lawn mower from them that died after an hour of use. Chalked it up to a risk but on the same day I bought the mower I dropped off a stihl weed whacker to be repaired they called me over three weeks later and told me it was done and when I went to pick it up they couldn’t find it anywhere and gave me someone else’s tool. I’ll never go back. Clear incompetence and worse they didn’t even care or offer to give me any of my money back. I know times are tough but that went too far and they’ll never get my service or recommendation again.

I went in to Hitchcocks for the first time on 3/5. The chain on my chainsaw needed to be replaced. I was kinda in a hurry and was just trying to avoid the place (unnamed) on Lincoln Ave. The long time owner was great. He replaced and repaired my chainsaw while I waited. If we want these old time establishments to be around we need to bring them our business. The owner has an amazing can do attitude. I will definitely be back. Thanks again

Great place to purchase or service your tools and power equipment. Its a little hidden gem that I found when the service company I previously used to service our work equipment failed us repeatedly. Sometimes the stock in the store is a little low, however, they can order you whatever you need and adjust the equipment to meet your specifications. Great customer service - highly recommended.
