Got the vegan sesame tofu and broccoli bento box.
Pros:
- very flavorful noodles
- crunchy broccoli
- delicious tofu
Cons:
- weird fishy smell
- too much rice, very little veggies
- overall kind of dry. Some gravy would have been nice.

If you're looking for catering for your wedding, no need to consider others. Just go with BentoSprout! Mireille is the sweetest and went above and beyond for our wedding in Mill Valley. We walked into our dinner reception area before doors opened and we found her setting up the tables for us, wow!

-Really easy to work with and communicate with

-Provided lots of suggestions and examples of different bento boxes she could create and helped deliver our vision

-Personally went to the venue to deliver all the bento boxes and helped setup even when we didn't ask her to and she definitely didn't need to

The bento boxes were a little smaller that what I was hoping for. I do wish the portions were a tiny bit larger. Overall it was still a good meal with all the Japanese staple ingredients to give people a wide variety of authentic ingredients to choose from.

Authentic bento box!!! Looks small but has layers. Rice and main entree on top, three sides differ but I mine had japanese potato salad, yam noodle/carrot, spinach gomae, plus dessert mochi filled with sweet adzuki (res) beans. Meatball was tasty and filling, as was the sesame tofu/broccoli. The teri salmon was also very good, but a slightly larger portion would be better. All well seasoned, bento is traditionally more seasoned so it can sit out a bit longer and is eaten at room tempurature, thus served with plain rice. BentoSprout is better than the bento boxes served at japanese markets, thus reflective in the price. I will go again! And I think they cater, which would be a good change of pace for the next work lunch event, and comes perfectly packaged!

When you open the plastic lid, you can't help smiling to see the colorful bento. The quality is so much higher than any bento boxes you find at stores or restaurants. Not only these bentos are very delicious, colorful and healthy, you'll appreciate how carefully they were cooked and prepared. The owner, Mireille is very friendly and listen to our feedback to improve her products and service. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menus and you can request brown rice, too. Highly recommended.

If you've been craving for delicious, nutritious and authentic Japanese style home cooked bentos your obachan or okasan would make go check out Bento Sprout! It's not your a-typical ho-hum cookie cut "takeout" bentos where it's the same old fried dish/teriyaki/california roll/psuedo Japanese dish 365 days a year. Bento Sprout serves THE freshest bentos where you can customize your own bento choosing your main dish protein (carnivore,vegetarian and vegan) 3 side dishes and rice. Not just plain white or brown rice but other Japanese rice choices like seki han, maze gohan, take gohan, etc. And did I mention the home made mochi anko dessert Yum! This is my go to place at the Farmer's Market. Why are you still reading this review? Go try a bento from Bento Sprout now. 🙂

Found Bento Sprouts on Google search since I needed to organized a safe and healthy luncheon for my boss and colleagues at work. Due to Covid19 I realized that we couldn’t plan to have party trays for a buffet for our event at this time because of the possibility of spreading the virus. So I wanted meals that are personally prepared individually secured and safe. As I was going through their website, it was not so hard for me to decide and pick them for our event. I contacted Bento Sprouts and left a quick message of inquiry, almost immediately I received a call back from Mireille. She was very attentive and accommodating to our needs and took our orders accordingly. She was also able to prepare me an invoice that was sent to me via email where I can also easily make adjustments and pay for our bill. The day of the event came and Mireille was on point and was able to deliver our orders on time. The presentation of the Bento Boxes was super neat and cute, all the food was made fresh and they were super delicious! I definitely will be contacting them again for future events. Thank you so much Mireille and Bento Sprouts you guys were amazing!!!

Finally! This is truly an authentic bento box I've been longing for! The placement is beautiful, each little dish is unique, overall tastes is not too salty yet distinctly flavorful. The little sweets in the bento box is a bonus and makes me smile.
