Warm, intimate setting and delightful host! Kelly was an absolute joy and did her best to make us comfortable on a cold, rainy Sunday. Delicious wines (we only sampled reds). Great value as well: 5 generous tastes for only $19... much more satisfying than the $25 for 4 we tried at a vineyard down the road. We can't wait to return on our next visit to San Diego!

We were greeted by their friendly Golden Retriever as soon as we stepped out of our cars. She was so cute and would put her head on our laps too.

Bastian's has a small tasting patio and a gazebo with a large table for 10. The owners were very nice and the winemaker did the pours himself for our tastings.
We learned about how they make their wines, where they come from, and more about their vineyard.

We really like their GSM. The prices on their bottles were good too. $36 for reds and $30 for whites.

Our group really enjoyed our Sunday afternoon here. The property was beautiful even in winter. I bet it's fabulous in spring when there are leaves and grapes on the vines.

We rolled upon this winery on accident, but we’re grateful we did. Meet the owners and made a new friend with their dog Jade. All the wines were delicious and I look forward to going back. Love at first sip.🍷

We were first timers to Bastian’s Vineyards and Highland Valley as a whole. Jade, Bastian’s golden retriever greeter gave us a sweet hello! Ron and Kelly, Bastian’s proprietors, were great hosts. We tasted the Grenache blush, Grenache red, Cote du Rhone, Petit Syrah, and Bastian’s blend. I’m no wine expert, but each were some of the best I’d had in their respective category. We left with multiple bottles and stuck around for an extra hour, so that should testify their quality. HIGHLY recommend for anyone passing through Highland Valley or looking for a peaceful, relaxing weekend wine trip away from large corporate vineyards.

Without a doubt, the most beautiful vineyard in San Diego. Beautiful views and delicious wine. It is the perfect place to spend your evening. Watching the sunset while drinking your wine is the most wholesome experience. Amazing!

Bastian's Vineyards is one of the newer wineries in San Diego County. It's located off Bandy Canyon on the Highland Valley wine region. Their wines are solid across the board. Currently they are serving 5 red wines, all of which are very good. Ron, who is the winemaker, is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a nice amount of outdoor seating spread around the tasting area. All and all a very pleasant experience.

Bastians is an oasis of calm serenity. A beautiful boutique vineyard/tasting experience. The wine is lovely, the vintner is friendly, engaging and informative, and the views from the outdoor patio tasting venue are truly God designed and splendid to behold. The friendly Golden Retriever is the perfect welcoming committee to begin the experience. Sheer delight.
