By far this is one of my favorite stores!! Jim the owner has gone above and beyond to carefully choose items that can supply you with a grab and go picnic at the Coast, or locally sourced fixings to prepare a 5 course meal at home.
It is places like the Marin Community Farm stand that are not only a place to acquire many locally curated items, but you walk away having made new friends with a personalized shopping experience like no other. Jim has been such a huge supporter of my small business, and like many others I can say a friend. Mahalo Nui Loa Jim and staff, for all you do for the Community and the kindness you show to everyone that walks through your doors!!!

Great variety of in-season produce and vegetables. The staff was really engaging and helpful - such a perk that they offer chilled samples as well. The seafood/meat selection was fantastic as well. The owner, Jim, is as friendly as they get. He was so kind to serve up some oysters (gratis) as we were heading out. Great place!! If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

Wow!!! What a wonderful farm stand!!! After driving by on a number of occasions, I finally decided to stop by and check it out. I was greeted by the owner, Jim, who immediately offered me samples of delicious local fruits and veggies. I got few apples and pears, then when checking out I found out there is even a shop inside with local meats, ice cream , wines and more. Jim was such a delight to talk with, and learn about the history of his farm stand. Thank you for all the amazing food!!!

Came to this farmstand because all of the positive reviews of variety of foods. Was also curious since so many reviews mentioned the kindness in the person working there. I was surprised that you are not actually allowed to pick your own food, you tell someone what you want and they pick it for you…. Which felt weird. It’s pricey, as most farmstands are, and the person who helped us was in a rush, which felt weird since we are not allowed to select our own produce, we were the only customers there, and arrived at 2 pm (5hours until close). Most unusual, is that when we got home we saw a chunk missing from one of the berries we bought. Unclear if this is from an animal or from a person, but regardless… unfortunately unsanitary. Especially for the price, and the fact that these were selected for us… probably will not return since there are plenty others nearby.

Jim does a great job of getting the best local foods available! Yes, it is seasonal and local, so you get what is ready and ideal for you to eat. You pay more than the supermarket and a little more than the farmers market, and you benefit from Jim’s expertise in navigating the farms and who is delivering the most flavorful food. We shop in San Anselmo in the Summer season and head out to Forest Knolls during the year. Support your local supermarket!!!

I love shopping at the farm stand for all my fresh produce and fresh fruit. You can pick up the best steaks in town. The farm stand also has some of the best chicken, fish and poultry
