I am extremely disappointed with the state of your indoor plant selection. Upon entering, the alocasia plants displayed immediately to the left exhibited a significant infestation of mealybugs, thrips, and spider mites. Despite this, I attempted to browse further, but discovered a begonia heavily infested with scale insects. When I informed the cashier of these infestations, she acknowledged knowing their presence but indicated that the manager, responsible for plant care, was unavailable for a week. The continued sale of these infested plants to customers is unacceptable.

Typically I always have a positive experience at other Sloat locations, but this one was a bit odd. I found a pot I really loved but it didn’t have a price tag. When I flagged the team member there, they said they needed to look it up. Then they said they needed to ask corporate because there was no manager there. But because no one was getting back to them, they kept shrugging that they just needed to wait. I asked if there was any other way to solve the problem, but they said they just had to wait and maybe I could come back another day. I waited for a total of 30 minutes, and still just shrugging that they couldn’t move forward. I understand protocol, but I just found it super odd that there was really no single person on their 3 person team that day who could help me with what didn’t seem to be a super complicated ask.

Good size neighborhood nursery with warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of flowers, plants, trees, and fruit trees. The staff encourages you to try the fruit on the tree for taste (nice!).

#LetsGuide Tip: If you cannot find what you are looking for, check the Monrovia website and order it there. Monrovia will ship it to Sloan free of charge, you just pay online directly. Sloat has become a like Amazon Locker for plants.

#dogfriendly - the staff welcomes with dog biscuits.

Be sure to checkout their greenhouse for their indoor plant selection. So many to choose from!

First time here! (Dragged my husband along too!😆) Wow, I'm impressed by the variety that I haven't seen elsewhere. Nice assortment of grasses, and water-wise plants that I was hoping to find. Impressive displays and color combos throughout the expanse of the vast space. Perfect spot to visit while social distancing. Helpful, friendly service. It felt good to get out and successfully find some cute plants for my yard.

Good stuff but they their closing time is just random. 10 minutes before 6:30p the cashier just closed the cash machine and didn’t know how to turn it on.… Wasted 1 hour selecting plants.
To be fair, Other were helpful.
