I am not Indian but it’s especially great for relieving my homesickness for nyc. Walking into this grocery store and plaza complex feels like being in Jackson heights, except everyone here speaks English 😎 nothing is too shiny or corporate and it’s the perfect place to pick up tamarind concentrate and affordable numeric. I will try to check if they sell banana leaves, makes me want to return to nyc again for a visit

Dishonest lady selling Expired stuff. I got Sastha Idli Batter on Nov 24th, it had expired 2 weeks before that. They put holes in the top seal so that it doesn't look puffed.

What I got was just stinky mould when I opened it.

Most of the items are more expensive than other Indian stores, some upto 50%. I have shopped here two times and in both cases had a bad experience.
They have a good variety of items but quality of some fruits and vegetables was not good. They even charged more for the fruits then the sticker price mentioned, I saw it after reaching home. I would not recommend this store unless they make some changes in pricing and quality control.

Worst store to avoid at all costs. The packaged food is restickered with new expiration date and the somasa had small dead cockroach in it. Had to throw away all consumables

A very average Indian store. The quality of the vegetables and sweets are not nearly as good as other stores in the area. Selection of items available is not that great either. The atmosphere in the store wasn't very good either. And they sell expired stuff here. Have a look at the caramel custard powder. It's lying on the shelf past its expiration. Only thing good I can say about this store is that the cashier was friendly to talk to.

Buyers beware of the online services provided by Namaste plaza. I ordered some veggies last week and I felt they purposely packed all the vegetables that were at the end of their shelf life. Ordered 5 onions, 4 of them had mold on it..green peppers ordered were soft and started growing mold the very next day. Luckily out of 6 potatoes only one had a mold on it.

When all the vegetables you ordered are already bad makes you wonder, are they taking advantage of the situation and trying to make money off their expired items.
