I spontaneously decided to try this restaurant as a Valentine’s Day treat to myself, and I can confidently say—it was the best decision I made! The taste of the food transported me back to a part of the world I’ve been fortunate enough to visit. The authenticity of the flavors, the aromas, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was there again, without having to hop on a plane.

There were quite a few options available, but I chose the lentil soup and the slow-cooked traditional lamb shank, as it’s not easy to find here in LA. And I’m so glad I did—it was absolutely divine. Juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, every bite felt like a warm embrace, reminding me why North African cuisine is so special.

But beyond the food, what truly made this experience unforgettable was the hospitality. The staff was so warm, humble, and incredibly attentive to every guest’s needs. And the owner? He has the most amazing smile and a presence that is both courteous and approachable, making you feel right at home.

The restaurant itself is spotless, adding to the comfort of the dining experience. I also loved seeing such a diverse crowd that day—it was a beautiful reflection of how food brings people together. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, and free parking is available, making it all the more convenient.

This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience. I walked in alone on Valentine’s Day but left feeling like I had given myself the best gift—an evening of incredible food, warmth, and hospitality. I will definitely be coming back to taste the lamb chops and baklavas but this time with my friends! 🙂 Thank you!

I’ve been coming to this place for the last five years. Hands-down the best spot from Mediterranean food in all of the west side. I love their catering as well and I recommended to everyone I meet. It’s a great place to go sit and relax and it’s got a calm and easy atmosphere. 10 out of 10 would recommend. They also have booths at the local farmers markets with the best yogurts and sauces and all kinds of yummy treats so look for them there too.

I cannot say enough great things about Z Garden Mediterranean Cuisine! We had them cater our New Year’s Party in 2025, and everything—from the food to the service—was exceptional.

The flavors were incredible—the hummus was creamy and fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and perfectly spiced, and the lamb and chicken kabobs were juicy and tender. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious, authentic Mediterranean flavors! The presentation was beautiful, and every dish was prepared with care.

Beyond the amazing food, the customer service was top-notch. The team at Z Garden was professional, accommodating, and punctual, making the entire catering process seamless and stress-free. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our event.

Definitely my favorite spot for Mediterranean food in all LA!!! Quality of food is superb and quantity is plentiful. I always get the combo kebab ! Definitely worth the drive from PV to SM just for the excellent food…

Nice dining area with a covered patio. I got the chicken shwarma plate and a side of falafel. Everything was made fresh when I ordered, no meat sitting around in steamers. Portions were what I expected for the price.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in LA now. The servers are some of the nicest people I’ve met and made the space feel like home. They were so helpful when it came to picking out delicious plates and letting us know what their personal favorites were!! We got to chat and talk about our families as well.

The food is so flavorful and colorful and I was OBSESSED with the rice. This spot is great since everything tastes fresh and not too heavy (unlike a lot of other spots who use endless oil haha) I’m partially Persian as well so this type of cuisine is one of my favorite and it’s always fun seeing how every culture cooks each dish a little different. I got the Kabob Combo Plate as well as some desserts which were so tasty as well!!

Please please visit this spot 🙂 I’ll be back as much as possible! Always refreshing to find a spot that feels and tastes like home.

Genuinely the best salmon I’ve had in my entire life. Everything was very high qaulity and filling. They where very nice and patient with us. I just wish it where bigger!

Must give 5 stars for the great service and food, I was looking for halal meat in Santa Monica and found this place, it was very close to my hotel, the guy was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It didn’t take longer time to prepare our combo kebab plate which has good portions with pretty fair prices.
Tha place is very clean and spacious.
We also enjoyed Moroccan tea.
