I traveled all the way from SF to come here and it didn't disappoint! One of the best and most varied and well stocked native plant nurseries I have ever seen! Also the staff their is amazing, namely Nick, who was like a personalized shopper for me and a gigantic wealth of information and experience! I came here specifically for island oaks and island mountain mahogany whicb without exaggeration cannot be found in any other retail or wholesale nurseries in the state! Thank you for offering this rare and beautiful species! Will be coming back time and time again in the future.

Well worth a stop if you are ever on a roadtrip through Solvang (or if you just live in the Santa Ynez Valley). Nick is an awesome source of expertise and knowledge about plants. A mad scientist of California horticulture. Really cool to see someone so passionate about what they do with such a deep wealth of knowledge gained from experience. Very fun hummingbird employees here too can point out plants to you. One of the few nurseries that consistently has Salvia spathacea and Quercus tomentella available, among other jewels. Lots of plants and cultivars you can only get at this nursery. Keep growing those rare plants and one-of-a-kind cultivars, Nick!

Just a great owner, super nice. Explains not only nuances of each Manzanita species but also which of the large selection of other plants will do best in your garden or yard's microclimate, to ensure success. He's got unusual native specimens you won't find elsewhere.
