I've lived in the area for 20+ years and until this business apparently changed hands, it's was a decent place to get landscape materials.
No more.
The staff there is incredibly disinterested in customer service. To a person, they're dismissive, abrupt, and simply rude.
They obviously think they're doing customers a favor, rather than treating them with respect.
In the past, they could deliver more than one type of material on a single truck, using a load divider. That was great, allowing customers to avoid multiple delivery fees.
No more.
They offer no apologies for no longer dividing loads. So, now you can just pay $45 on top of their newly ridiculous materials prices for every delivery, no matter how small.
So, this is what this place has become -
Rude and unpleasant employees.
Higher materials prices - (as much as they can get away with).
Ridiculous fees for delivery, no matter how small the load.
I've spoken to a number of my neighbors, and I'm not alone my awareness that this place has gone into the toilet.
I've decided that I'd rather just buy the materials by the bag from Home Depot or Lowe's, and suffer the additional cost and inconvenience, rather than give these jerks my business.
No more.
(I'd also note that all of the "good" reviews for the place are from years ago, before the change of ownership/management. Funny how they're still credited with those good reviews, when they are now irrelevant for this business.)

We went to get soil for my garden and some other garden accessories. Excellent service and flagstone more dense than the Arizona slate I've worked with in the past years and the price is excellent. I highly recommend this store

I want to let you know about what happened to me and my experience with Acer. I purchased 4 yards of bark to be delivered and when purchasing they asked where would I like it delivered. I let them know to place on the right side of the driveway and I paid and left. I also asked if I needed to be present when they delivered and they said "no, not at all, they would take care of it."
Later on that day, the delivery guy was dropping off, as I went outside to see exactly where it would be dropped off at, the driver failed to stop, and rammed the house, I had to run out to the truck and punch the side of the truck to get him to stop, but he had already damaging the gutter. His words were "so...rry". I asked what now? He said the owner would be in contact. I said ok, 3 days later, I called because I had not heard anything. When I called, I was told by the wife of the owner that I would get a call back. 2 days later, nothing. I called again, they yelled out around the room, "its the gutter guy.. tell him we will call him back." 2 days later, nothing, I called again and they said "we tried to call you, but there was no answer." I thought that's funny, no missed calls and no voice messages. The next day, my wife and I stopped in to say hi to Acer in person. It was at that point the owner's wife said.."if you look at your receipt you will see that Acer is not responsible for any damages if delivered." They could have mentioned that from the start. Yes, it was there, it did say that. I wanted to review and let you know.. buyer beware..read your receipts. In my opinion, if I had a business, I would have called the customer immediately or as soon as possible, I would have insurance for these instances and I would have took care of my customer. As it is, the damages is estimated at $400.. thank you. Acer.

That was a review from month ago.. a few days after that review the owner called me and let me know he was sorry that he had been super busy that his business was busy and short staffed. He asked that I take down the review and he would pay for the damages. I agreed, and took down the review immediately after getting off the call. 2 days later, I called to let him know that I took the review down and asked if he made good on his request, he said.. as good as done! but no, he didn't do anything about it.
3 weeks later.. NOTHING! I thought Acer was good on their word, but I was mistaken.

My husband called around 1:30 today to get pricing. He was given a price and so we drove there to find the gate closed, so we called again. We are then told they have been closed all day due to weather. We asked no one mentioned it on the phone when calling for pricing. The reponse was, no one asked if we were open. Are you serious?

I LOVE THIS PLACE!
This place has great prices and the employees that run the tractors are very polite and friendly.
It is actually better than any others i have been to.
We were doing a job on MOTHER LODE and it was convenient and i have a dog i brought in and i read the signs not to let my dog out and didn't. Maybe if the other guy that said his dog was attacked would have listened to the rules he wouldn't have had problems! GREAT PLACE
