This is a Kool garden. This garden is a big hybridization experiment. You can see the different fruits, trees, flowers, etc, that are a result of years of hybridization. It's free to visit and very peaceful to walk around.

Fun to walk around and see the various trees and plants that Luther Burbank helped cultivate. I appreciated the signs telling the tree species. There were a lot of nice fall colors, and I bet this place is even better mid spring and early summer.

A quirky, marvelous place for history and horticulture buffs alike. It's a little confusing to find adjacent to an apartment complex, but it's worth the visit... especially if you combine the visit with Luther Burbank's Home and Garden in Santa Rosa. An all-volunteer operation, do not expect a polished retail nursery setting. Go to find unusual plants and study Burbank's plant introductions. It's an underutilized site, but its location prevents greater exposure and increased visitors. I enjoyed its low-key, peaceful setting.

Scenery is beautiful but it wasn't as large as I thought it would be. The self guided tour was easy by scanning the QR code on you phone.

Volunteers- hardworking, friendly and dedicated

Nursery- was nice if you want to take some plants home and the price was overall reasonable.

Parking and how to get to the facility. Difficult. I saw the sign for the garden
But when I turn in, it says no parking only for residents. It turned out the garden was at the top of the hill within the senior living apartments. Once you reach the top of the hill, you will see signage and the little house. There is a few parking spaces. I had parked on the street and one of the nice resident told me to walk past the builds and up the hill to find the garden.

It was nice but nothing I would make a special trip for.

A link to when fruits were not hybridized tasteless Blechh.
We had ripe, sweet and juicy apples like those we used to swipe from neighbor's trees when we were kids.
Every kid in America should taste these and revolt against the Supermarket garbage.

Love walking through the gardens!! My grandmother lives in the apartments nextdoor/on the grounds and it's really nice to be able to cross the driveway and walk through the orchard, there are some truly wonderful, *old* trees and plants and I love the plaques with the names and details for each one/grouping
