Going local to a family-owned is so worthwhile! I don't have to get in my car, plus both prices and selection are not even inflated for the convenience! I noticed that on the things that I buy, the prices are the same as down the hill! Was not expecting that! Plus, the bread that i get at Sprouts, Old Town Baking Company, is here! Great little corner market.

This is a remarkable market. It is the only place my family buys meat. We drive up from Orange County to shop there. Beef is USDA Prime and is always amazing quality. It has one of the few full service butcher services available. The butcher case is a wonder to behold. There are expanded grocery and produce departments with good selection. We also like the variety of specialty and gourmet items. We've always found the service there to be friendly and first rate.

My wife was looking for lamb necks. They've become scarcer than hen's teeth at big markets. She was able to find them at Taylor's.

Although I do not eat meat and they don’t carry a lot of what I DO eat, I am giving 5 stars for the cleanliness, variety, and hospitality and customer service.
I walked out with $12 worth of cherries which I really thought said Organic . I was having a “ brain fart “ moment because there were no Organic cherries.
I couldn’t let it go when I realised it although I was too lazy to go back. I was walking through town.
I went back and there was not a problem getting a refund. No questions!
It opened up a nice conversation with the owner whose name alludes me about him, trying to constantly make things better with all the changes coming in. I’m very impressed and will continue to shop there .

One star because you need to fix your hours, for real. You open way too late and close way too early. There are a lot of young families, that need a store close by, not just old retired people. We work full time and have kids to feed. Either make yourself more available or make room for a Trader Joe’s

My hometown grocery store! I would shop there a couple of times a week if I could afford to do so. It's just so convenient just footsteps from my dwelling. The meat department is incredible! I just wish I could financially swing purchasing all my dead animals there as they are absolutely delicious. Did you know that they Supply the hamburgers for pie and burger? True story!

All the meat here is USDA Prime, which means it's the good stuff, not the lower grades that are sold in the typical grocery store. This is a really great small town butcher and grocery store. It is one of the iconic business in Sierra Madre that gives it that small town feel. Taylor's has grown from just a boutique butcher shop to more of a full line small grocery store. Family owned and operated, this is the finest tradition of a small town local family business.
