A very nice nursery to walk around and explore with lots of plant options. Most are in large five gallon (or larger) buckets and they are a bit pricey. They also sell decorative stone pots, fountains, benches, and they have a small selection of statues. An area of improvement would be better signage listing the type of plant, zone, growth habits, water usage, and the prices. Bring the kids to see the chickens, rabbits, goats, and even the white peacocks. If you come around lunch time, they have a nice picnic table by a pond where one can sit, relax and eat your lunch. Other nurseries should take a cue from here on how to make it a pleasant shopping experience.

Gorgeous location in Moorpark. I love this place! Very helpful and patient staff, good prices. Just off the #23 near the strawberry stand, this nursery is easy to get to. It's a flat location with paved paths in places, so easy to get around for everyone. I highly recommend it.

Beautifully organized with a great layout, this is a wonderful nursery. Everyone was extremely helpful and quick to answer questions. The plants I bought were very healthy and hardy. I will definitely return here.

A salesmen at Sterling Gardens Nursery tried to rip me off today. I went in to buy a fountain and I found the fountain I wanted. They had two of the exact same fountain, just slightly different coloring. They price their fountains by writing directly on them with a paint type substance that looks a bit like chalk. These two fountains were both priced at $560. When I went to purchase the fountain the salesman told me the fountain was $685… $125 MORE THAN THEIR LISTED PRICE! I pointed out that they were priced at $560, not $685. He went back and forth with me a bit and long story short he refused to sell the fountain for their listed price. I asked to speak with a supervisor, thinking maybe that would resolve this and he said he was the manager. I then asked to speak with the owner, knowing they obviously don’t want their sales people ripping off customers and he said the owner was unavailable and will not be available. I’m sure this could be easily resolved with the owner if there’s a way to reach them.

Baby came here in search of some buckets ran into a knowledgeable man named Joe. Kudos for him will definitely be back for some plants . They have goats chickens ducks and peacocks to look at while you're exploring the beautiful garden nursery
