I've enjoyed visiting The Baker's Daughter since they opened, but unfortunately, I've noticed a drop in quality over the past six months. I usually order the avocado tartine, and while their sourdough is typically excellent, theres something inconsistent about their other dishes. Especially the Avocado Tartine. In the past, it used to be bright green, and the flavors were all very apparent. Now it tastes old like avocado that's been sitting out for too long that appears browned, or the toppings like pumpkin seeds, onion, and radish are sparse. The bread thickness also varies--thin one day, quite thick the next.

Today's experience was also less welcoming than usual. The cashiers used to be very friendly, but now they seem a bit overwhelmed. The cashier helping me didn't offer a greeting or thank you, which felt uncharacteristic of the place. I had hoped to order lunch, but since I arrived at 10:45 a.m., I was told I couldn't place a lunch order until 11. So, I defaulted to my usual breakfast order and quickly left to get coffee elsewhere, as I've stopped ordering coffee here due to frequent unavailability of the Vietnamese coffee ingredients.

When I returned to pick up my order, the same cashier handed it over without any pleasantries. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found the toast was charred, which I found pretty unreasonable, especially for a $15 item. We all work hard for our money, and while I know they're an artisanal business, putting out less-than-top-quality food at this price point is disappointing. I wish I'd checked before leaving, but being in a rush, I didn't realize until I got home, where the burnt taste was all too apparent.

If you're ordering to go, I'd recommend double-checking your order to ensure it meets the quality standard you expect.

Sandwich outstanding ❤️
We had turkey BLT …..
sourdough was freshly baked and taste so good!

Almond cake was made with ricotta as staff said, you. You can taste in between cheese cake texture but almond flavor. Taste so good with coffee ☕️

Love natural brown and cream color concept of this bakery cafe. Overall taste good. Definitely place I want to come back again.

I really wanted to like this place with their social media posts of their sandwiches/burgers and pastries being enticing.

First off, they weren’t selling their burger even though it was on their menu¿ I ended up getting their slow cooked brisket sandwich.. BIG mistake..

Secondly, the brisket sandwich was $20 for a sandwich that felt like two thin dry pieces of beef jerky in it.. the pickles in the sandwich were thicker than the actual meat..

My sister and I love supporting local businesses and loved coming here. The coffees are good and the pastries and bread are amazing… however… it is a complete hit or miss!!

Every other time we stop by they don’t have pastries ready. We’ve gone at 8am when they open, 10 am, noon. It is completely up in the air if you will end up being able to get pastries. Most coffee shops have overnight bakers to prepare baked goods for the following day.. The Baker’s Daughters would greatly benefit from having their own. It’s just so disappointing when you want a fresh croissant with your coffee and 50% of the time they just don’t have them made. Just odd for a coffee shop and bakery?

We’ve gotten to the point where if we want coffee and pastries, we just go someplace else that we know is more consistent.

Decent food but really overpriced!! $50 for two with tip! Waitress was dull and not too happy to be working. The omelette was not good.

I had breakfast here, and luckily came when it wasn't too busy.

Food is fantastic, coffee is excellent as well. Fresh baked goods!

I ordered coffee with alternative oat milk. It was sweetened oat milk, it destroyed the taste of the coffee. I asked if they had other alternatives, they had almond but it was also sweetened. It’s rare nowadays to go to a cafe & find sweetened alternative milks, most coffee lovers don’t sweeten their coffee—we love coffee, we want to taste the coffee! Sweetened alternative milks make coffee taste gross, they destroy the coffee experience. It’s hard to imagine why a cafe with single source coffee beans would not buy unsweetened nut or oat milks. Imagine if cow milk was sweetened and you had customers who didn’t like sweet coffee. Please buy unsweetened alternative milks.

This place was amazing. Stopped in for a bite in the morning and fell in love! The French Omelet, All in One, and Ham and Cheese bun were amazing! The sourdough bread was to die for, we ended up buying two loaves. The service was amazing and we can’t wait to come back!!
