The Bartholomew Estate winery is a lovely intimate winery setting. The wines are pretty good, but there are better if you're in Sonoma or Napa, especially. To be clear-- the wine isn't bad. It just doesn't cater to my taste as much as I would like. The presentation, grounds, staff-- pretty much everything-- are quaint, romantic, and very picturesque. I would describe the wines that I had as being very tasty, but a bit soft. Glad that we went. But not sure if I'd keep it on the next rotation.

A WONDERFUL experience. Friendly helpful service, scenic natural views outdoors. Beautiful vineyards even in winter. Lovely long hiking trail around the property that took me 1.5 hours to walk including some stops for photos. Wine tastings and purchases support maintaining the trail/park/property which are free to enjoy! Great place to relax and get away from the downtown bustle.

I’m a bit sad to leave just three stars, as I really wanted to enjoy my time at the winery more, but sadly it was lacking in several different ways and ended up being a lesser experience than some other wineries I’ve visited.

We had a lovely and kind server and an early seating. 11:30am. The young woman serving was brand new, which she shared with us, and while I want to give grace to a new employee, there were some slip ups that weren’t ideal. We were a bit rushed through the tasting (a flight of five wines) and they were served two at a time, which I found odd. It became hard to track which was which. (We were given two glasses each at the top) There were very few questions that could be answered without leaving to check on the answer. And then it was complete chaos to determine how we could take a bottle out to the picnic area. We could buy a bottle but had to open it outside and we couldn’t be lent a corkscrew so they said we’d have to buy one for $12. Absolutely ridiculous. So the server showed us which wines were screw top to avoid that expense.

Lastly, the pours were uneven and stingy at best. I sat at the first pour spot and quite clearly got the smaller pours each time. It just felt a bit insincere and cheap. Especially when I had three other guests at my table to be comparing notes with.

Nathaniel’s private venue tour was absolutely amazing!! He took us through every crop as we tasted the wine from the grapes that we were learning about! He also flawlessly walked us through the inspiring history of the property and its owners throughout its entire history. 10000/10 experience!

Pretentious as they come. They don't sell individual glasses of wine but, "buy a bottle and we will lend you one." That's what we were told when me and my wife just wanted to buy a few glasses of wine. Then before I could ask or say anything, she gave us a "Yeah, Goodbye!" Goodbye is right, brought my own wine and food and sat in your vineyard and had a picnic. Thanks for making me understand that your business is not worth my families time, and to not spend money where you aren't even given the chance to be appreciated.

Beautiful estate winery supports the historic park by offering organic sustainable wines grown on its land.
The gorgeous tasting room has such a warm and cozy ambiance that you will feel enchanted by the whole experience and certainly it will be unforgettable. Driving along vineyards, passing the Villa and admiring old oaks and eucalyptuses on the way to the tasting room will delicately prepare you to meet the estate grown Zinfandel, Press Release Red, Cabernet Sauvignon or Rosé of Zinfandel.
If you are here not for tasting but for walking or horse riding - don’t forget to book a table next time.
I am so under the spell of this charming place!

Came here for my birthday with a party of 8. We got there and the 2 hosts were helping a man buy a bottle of wine, it took a full 5 minutes for them to acknowledge we were there. When we got sat down the host girl left immediately after giving us menus without explaining anything. We sat there for a very long time and I had to actually flag someone down to take our order. We ordered flights the younger male waiter brought out our wine and literally said "you can read the description I'm not going to tell you what to think." What the actual f? So rude.

We started trying the wine and decided to walk around the property. 2 people stayed at the table. When we stepped away another waiter came up to our table with 2 people still sitting and demanded we pay the bill. We still had wine on the table it was clear we were coming back. I paid it to get the waiter to back off, but their system wasn't working and he was like "your cards not working!" It took him a couple of times to get their system to work. It's funny how it took forever to get served but they were on it when it came to pressing us to pay. All around it was the worst service I've ever received at a wine tasting and I'll never be back. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with us being the only table of brown/black people but it wasn't welcoming at all.
