This place is awesome! Simple menu of fried chicken and maki tuna roll and both did not disappoint. Highly recommend popping in if you're in the area. It's a very small store with a few other food items for sale. Owners are right in the store and also very friendly.

It was the best chicken I had. The skin was super crunchy. The chicken itself was well seasoned and tender. Also their sushi hot dog was delicious. They were so nice to us. Definitely will be stopping by more often

Tiny spot with awesome flavors. I loved that they had fresh hot chicken on the ready along with fresh sushi rolls. Both were very tasty! Make sure to visit on your way to Kualoa Ranch. They accept card as well!

Stopped by on our way from Kualoa Ranch, as I had seen the “fried chicken” sign on our way there. So glad I did-this wasn’t just fried chicken, but this stuff was seasoned to perfection and like nothing I’d tasted-soooo good! And what’s better as soon as I walked in, I realized it was the store of my “brother”! Great food and if you like jazz, let Alden know, he’s got some good stories!

If you want “real Hawaiian” food, we were directed to this place . A roadside side stand that you might miss if you weren’t looking for it. But the line of customers showed how popular the place is. You eat on picnic table beside the road with chickens running around.
Service was fast and friendly.
We tried the beef luau. We were concerned when we saw it, not appealing to look at but very good, as was the Kalua Pig (basically pulled pork). The ice cream was excellent. We might stop there just for that next time we drive up to the north shore.

As tourists we were on the road in our hire car. We had parked up and we must have looked lost. A random guy approached us and we spoke about food options. He told us he was a chef. He told us we just had to stop at Waikane Store, down the road a ways. So glad we did! Easy to drive past but highly recommend you don’t. The chicken was unbelievably good. The sushi too, very very tasty. The owners were super friendly and chatty.
If you’re heading out on a lap of the island definitely stop at Waikane Store. Don’t be fooled by the appearance. It is first rate delicious!
