Wow what a spectacular experience staying in the Coconut Hale! The architecture of the hale, outdoor kitchen and dining area were beautiful. I loved the outdoor shower and appreciated that we had a private toilet just outside our room. The stars at night are absolutely amazing. Only wish we could have stayed longer! Delightful stay in the Bali Hale at Starseed Ranch. The Hale was delightful-we especially liked sitting on the front porch and taking in the view of gardens, bamboo groves and fruit trees. We combined our stay with a farm tour and dinner...the tour was informative and inspiring. The farm to table dinner was fantastic. Dash, Erika and their family were most gracious and welcoming. Second time at Starseed...it's always sublime and I never want to leave. Friendly farm dogs and geckos, the loveliest kitchen, and the dreamiest cottages, tucked in the jungle. Can't wait to go back!

My partner and I were super excited for our farm tour at Starseed ranch. We made the hour and a half drive from Kona, but about 10 minutes from the start time we received a text that the tour was canceled and that we would be refunded, with an apology for the last minute cancellation because not enough people had signed up and they forgot to let us know sooner (with a 24 hour notice they said they would provide when signing up). We tried asking if we could talk to anyone or purchase anything at the farm store since we had already made the drive out and the farm tour was one of the main draws for us to visit the big island, but they let us know that no one was on the property and that the store was closed. It was extremely disappointing.

It was a joy to meet Dash on this great farm tour. We learn so much about all the different types of tropical fruits, veggies and herbs grown on the Big Island of Hawaii .Got to snack on local fruits was a bonus

I’m a resident of the Big Island, and of all the experiences I’ve had here, the farm tour and farm-to-table dinner ranks as one of the most extraordinarily enjoyable and enjoyably extraordinary! Dash led the tour, which was equally illuminating and nourishing. And his lovely wife, Erika, provided her outstanding culinary gifts to feed our souls and bellies! Their love of Hawaii, and their knowledge and commitment to the land and Hawaiian growing practices is a blessing to all. Whether you’re a resident or a tourist, I cannot recommend this experience enough! You’ll definitely learn new things, and you’ll leave feeling uplifted and inspired! 🌸

Cannot recommend this place enough. We spent two nights, did the farm tour and dinner, and could have stayed for longer. So magical. Our teen daughter thought the outdoor shower was excellent. I was in love with the outdoor kitchen. Our son loved the night sounds that come through the screens. The dinner was delicious. Tour was interesting. Good spot for doing the Pololu Valley hike or just exploring the small town vibe of North Kohala. This was part of a ten night road trip around the island, and I think it might have been my favorite.

What a stunning place! Was lucky enough to stay on the property in the coconut hale. My parents were in visiting and this part of their trip was such a relaxing treat. Everything is so well taken care of and just a beautiful property overall. Easy to feel right at home and find serenity! Looking forward to my next stay at starseed!
And not to mention-all the folks that work at starseed that I communicated with were so very nice and accommodating!
