For an island that is limited on goods and resources - every store, eatery, and business or even just walking in their town - the residences - especially the young adults that I came into contact with - were so respectful and helpful. I was very impressed with the islands locals. Small towns are definitely the best. Thank you for making my trip memorable.

Typical gas station selection minus the gas pumps. Everything is ridiculously priced. Unfortunately they are the only local place to get anything close to groceries on a Sunday afternoon. Like most of Hawaii they didn’t have any grocery bags but did have a selection of small cardboard boxes to carry your overpriced purchase home.

Molokai's first Mini Mart! A little on the expensive side, however the convenience is well worth it... It's the only place on Molokai that is open until 11 p.m., and that includes Sundays! Great if you need drinks, milk and other necessities. They even have a decent health food selection, and don't forget they have internet, DVD rentals, and probably the best lattes, cappuccinos and espresso on the island.

A convenience store that is the last to close up in Kaunakakai town, at 11pm. Provides snacks, candies, refreshing drinks from juice to alcoholic beverages, a limited selection of tobacco products, and a variety of healthy and organic food. It also includes a daytime coffee bar that closes at 1pm.
