I went way, waaay out of my way to visit this store (from Waikiki) because of the high ratings and reviews. And my experience couldn't have been better. Kai stopped what he was doing and helped me selected what I needed, from selecting the proper reel for the pole I wanted, to picking out the best baits, lures, and other items to make the best out of my limited fishing experience. Items are priced very reasonable and can't be beat!

My wife and I are new to boat fishing. The guys at Nanko were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Even rigged up our new lures with the leader lines and gave us tips of what depths and speed. They have tons of top notch products. We have been to other fish / boating stores we know Nanko’s prices are good and we will definitely be coming to them for future gear! As a tourist or a beginner, you can find everything you are looking for. As a professional, I really do not know, but I have seen some expensive items too. I couldn’t find small fishing nets for kids anywhere except in this store. The staff was helpful and gave me some tips where to go fishing.
