It was an interesting experience getting to plant our own pineapples at the farm! We saw beautiful pineapple flowers and adorable golden pineapples, and we even got to taste the incredibly sweet, low-acid Sugarloaf pineapple. Although a bit pricey, it was a unique and enjoyable experience in Kauai.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Hole in the Mountain Farm. Paul, Jude and the rest of the staff were amazing! We toured with Paul who told the history of the farm, the Sugarloaf Pineapple and even the story of the surrounding land. The pineapples were simply the best I've ever had! We saw all stages of the pineapple plant - planting new shoots, flowering, growing and harvesting. We sampled fresh, frozen and dried pineapple. I'd definitely recommend this tour! Although after having a Sugarloaf, the pineapple you get at stores will never be as sweet 🍍

Great personable people and a great way to learn about the sugarloaf pineapples. You get to plant one and harvest one. Be prepared as the Kauai red dirt stains everything and if it has been/is raining then there will be mud. This is a true farm tour and very unlike the Dole tour on Ohau.

We really enjoyed the tour! It was a lot of fun to learn about their farm and everyone got to plant a pineapple. There was plenty of pineapple to taste, a yummy pineapple “phrosty”, and we each got a pineapple to take home. I definitely recommend this tour if you have time!

We recently took the pineapple farm tour and while we appreciated the opportunity to learn about the farming process, the experience left a bit to be desired. Our guide was clearly knowledgeable and we enjoyed the pineapple tasting and the pineapple frosty—they were a real highlight. However, we found the tour itself to be a bit on the boring side, and it didn’t feel like we got the full value for what we paid. We would have loved a bit more engagement or variety throughout the tour. Still, we’re grateful for the experience and the insight into pineapple farming!

We had a great time on the pineapple farm tour. Paul, the owner, is very knowledgeable, friendly and inviting. He regaled us with stories from his past and his circuitous journey from SoCal teen to Kauai Pineapple Farmer. He showed us how to plant, pick and eat pineapple in 3 forms: fresh, dried, and frozen as a dessert.

A very informative tour with delicious treats and beautiful views, plus feeling “I just planted a pineapple at Kauai” afterwards. Along the way you will hear fascinated Hawaiian stories. BTW, here comes the math: 2 organic white pineapples could cost over $70 at the stores (one you can take home, many slices you can taste after the tour) and a delicious pineapple frosty is easily $10 at the farmers market. GO!

Had a great time visiting and touring this pineapple farm during our visit to Kauai. The owners are friendly and welcoming to visitors. The tour was fantastic and informative. They talk through the history of the farm and what it takes to grow pineapples.
As for the pineapples, I have never been a fan of the yellow pineapples but these white sugarloaf pineapples are amazing, we will be taking a few back home with us.
Highly recommend the tour and the pineapples.
