Wow, this is a really beautiful shaded area with lots of great food trucks and locally made crafts, jewelry and live music. The only reason why I don't give five stars is because they keep a turtle caged up where it's super hot- he needs more shade it's super hot here and not fair to him.
Extra shout out to the blue door they're Lilikoi tart is fire! They also have sourdough pizza!!

We were on vacation and got tickets to see the hula. It was great! It went over a lot of history. The music was fantastic. The dancing was great. The host was really good. We sat on the picnic tables which are in the back. There aren't too many tables. Otherwise you sit on the ground. Most people brought a towel or a short chair to sit on. We showed up early to get food from the food trucks. The lines get long pretty fast. If you want good seating and food before the show, get there early! Parking is nice and easy.

What a neat area!
Lots of food options for any meal/snack/diet.
Lots of seating areas, life size chess, friendly stray cats and chickens.
A couple shops/stands to check out.

The gravel does suck to walk on and would be hard for wheelchairs or some with mobility issues. Would be nicer if it was paved. It isn’t very handicap friendly.

We really enjoyed our time at South Maui Gardens! We went to their Hula Show and it was great! The different dances they showed from all around Polynesia were very interesting! It was definitely a talented group of performers and we were grateful to learn more about Hawaii and Polynesia. We brought our beach chairs to sit on to watch the show, which was nice! Highly recommend doing that if you have beach chairs. Also recommend getting there early to find a good spot. We got food from Thai Me Up food truck. It was some of the best food we had our whole trip! We had the salmon and their lamb special. The lamb was some of the best lamb we have ever eaten! SO GOOD! Definitely check out Thai Me Up! It's amazing.

Lovely area to explore for an evening. We went to the hula show and it was a good alternative to other dinner shows on the island costing $200 +. Food trucks are cute but we didn’t love the food, maybe we just ordered the wrong thing! Would go back to try out the other vendors!

This was a fantastic experience! I got us tickets for the hula & fire dancing show (not sure if this is offered nightly - we were there on a Sunday) and so far, it's been the highlight of our visit to Hawaii. The show itself was about 90 minutes. The dancing and stories shared were incredible - such talented dancers! The fire show was just phenomenal and an amazing ending to the show. We also enjoyed dinner on site as there are probably a dozen food trucks to pick from. Note that alcohol not served on site, but you can bring your own. Clean washroom facilities are available. Lovely grounds to explore before or after the show! Picnic tables are provided to watch the show from, or you can bring lawn chairs or a blanket to spread out on the lawn. Highly recommend this amazing cultural experience!

Last time we were in Maui we came here just to browse the garden plants, but to our surprise this place now also is a rocking food truck park! They have everything here - breakfast bowls and coffee, sourdough bread and pizza, wings, burgers, sushi, Argentinian food, Greek, Thai, even a Canadian truck. Most things were quite reasonably priced too. A shaved ice place with vegan cream was closed but looked amazing.
The night we came there was live music, games to play, and lots of picnic table seating. What a fun place to come hang out for a night - next we want to come take a morning walk and have breakfast here.
