The fruit looked alright. Everything WAY TOO OVERPRIZED!! 10dollar for a mango and 4 for a baby mango thats already bad!?
Some of the fruits looked nice but in my opinion they are just way too expensive.
For anyone who is looking for cool coconuts to drink, you can get some there

Stay away! I've been to a lot of fruit stands across the island and this one was the worst. Poor customer service, selling me things that are over ripe claiming "its ready to eat", and the exorbitant prices. I know fruit can be a crapshoot, but not this bad!

It was our first morning on Maui and I was very disappointed to be badly over-charged by the man at the stall. I picked 2 mangoes, 4 small tomatoes, 4 bananas, a lime, an avocado, a papaya, two persimmons and he charged me $70. YES, $70!! Won't go back and would not recommend to tourists.

Bad prices. Still not a deal but she will negotiate down to half the initial price she tells you because everything is unlabeled. I just don't like that she said $75 then agreed to $40, so I left. Big time how much will a tourist pay spot. It's Maui and this fruit stand is straight out of Jamaica.
To the owners response: The guy at Hookipa sold more than coconuts. You are right about one thing though, Maui is not comparable to Jamaica. I was comparing your fruit stand to Jamaica of course, not Maui. (Trying to see how much a tourist will pay). Your responses to our reviews are not helpful.

This is local farm produce and more expensive than the large grocery chain stores produce. The Golden pineapple will cost you $20 however it is the most amazing pineapple you have ever eaten. We bought pineapple and papaya (requested her to cut them for $1 each). I wish I had the opportunity to visit another road site farmer like this but never did find one. It will always be a special place in my heart.

We were sucked into the trap! The prices are outrageously expensive here but it was X-mas day and we weren't sure what would be open...so ended up purchasing a few bananas, etc. which were fine but there are less pricey options with better quality on the island. Folks running it are very friendly, but highest prices we saw at any of the markets on Maui.
