We received a seizure-warrant notice for sending 7 lbs of a local fruit to a friend in Aabama, recovering from a bout of Covid and craving this fruit. My wife sent her this fruit, only to be seized in Alabama. The seizure prompted USDA to send a seizure-notification letter to my wife. I immediately called USDA's number to find out what we needed to do. Agent Laura answered and reiterated the seriousness of what was done. After her review of our file, she issued a firm warning not to do this again without going through formal inspection steps. She was professional, courteous, efficient, thorough, and very clear in USDA's stand in this area. I appreciated Agent Laura's professionalism and the way she handled our problem.
