One of my very best gal friends' birthday was coming up, and I wanted to give her a "living gift", one that would be admired and appreciated for many many years to come. She didn't have a Puakenikeni... My husband and I went to the nursery in Hanapepe, which at this time is open by appointment only... but easy to do, with only a phone call.... We were shown several sizes /prices and allowed to walk thru the many beautiful plants, all healthy, watered, vigorous. It was hard to choose, so many to decide from. I LOVE this nursery. Its the healthiest one on Kauai. I sincerely understand, why its called No Ka Oi. ...

No Ka Noise. Noisy, noisy, noisy. Old broken down equipment with no mufflers? These guys used to be the best, but rather than do the job right, they are just cut cut cutting things with noisy saws, then blowing blowing blowing with old noisy blowers. Yes, those things should be outlawed. Their people just don't care. Their people have ear protection. I'm trying to nap on a warm afternoon.....Suddenly, without warning, CCCRRRRRSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Oh, must have been a couple little leaves on the concrete driveway. Bad Bad Bad.........Next time I'm going to Maui...........
