BEWARE OF FRAUD - on 8/30 I placed an order for coffee at a cost of $249.75. Within 5 minutes of placing the order, I canceled it. I called. No one answered the phone so I sent them an email never heard back that following Monday. I called no answer. I sent them an email this has gone on for sometime. I was left with no other alternative but to call my bank and do a charge back. I live in a condo so after doing the chargeback, I notified the front desk to reject any packages from Kona rainforest. Several days later, my Concierge called to let me know that they had rejected the package. This company never told me that they mailed it. They never sent me a tracking number. I heard nothing from them until after the package was returned, saying that your order is complete. I recommend that if you were planning to purchase coffee from this company you think twice. No customer service and they kept my money. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We spent 3 days here last year and again a week ago. The setting in the middle of the coffee farm in the rainforest is spectacular...and Robert and Dawn are great hosts...they were able to show us around the workings of the farm and we watched our coffee being roasted...it doesn't get much fresher...and soooooo delicious! The cabin is basic with everything you need. We shopped in Kona before coming out so had everything we needed including tuna and steaks for the barbecue. Ideally you should have a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill to the farm...it's well worth the investment as we used it to go up Mauna Kea as well. This off the beaten track gem is well worth the effort to find.

This place is away from everything and if you like solitude and views, you cannot beat this. The guesthouse is 3/4 mile up (pretty much straight up) the highway on a coffee farm. It has a gorgeous view of the ocean and you are surrounded by coffee trees and the smell of coffee. The house is well stocked and very clean. The pictures do not really do the house justice--it is much nicer than it looks and so reasonably priced. To some the downside will be that is far away from everything but to many that will be a real draw--no crowds of tourists, absolute silence at night, and the surrounding beauty. The hosts were lovely.

My wife and I had a chance to visit while on the inter island cruise. We are coffee lovers and felt that it would be a great opportunity if we could visit an organic coffee farm in arguably one of the best coffee regions in the world.
Robert and Dawn treated us like family. After a cup (or two) on the patio we were privileged to get an educational tour of their plantation. They are two very hard working people and couldn't be more gracious with their time.
We feel privileged to have met them and enjoy the fruits of their labor. YUM! If you really enjoy your coffee Kona Rainforest Organic needs to be on your list.

Visit to Kona RainForest Coffee Farm was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island! Owners Dawn and Robert welcomed us like family, gave a tour of their farm, and shared a cup of excellent, just roasted coffee. The views from the slopes are simply astounding. And their coffee is superb quality. If you're ever near Kona, go visit Kona Rainforest Coffee farm, and support the people with passion for coffee.
