The chips are made to order and come out piping hot. The chips are made from taro and sweet potatoes which are local vegetables that are found on the island.

You can even customize the flavoring of the chips by adding different types of seasoning.

The chips were so addictive, I ended up eating the whole bag in one day

Wow! Super friendly staff and yummy place to grab some chips and dip. We picked a mixed bag of sweet potatoes and taro chips with spinach dip.
Cost $9.50 for combo- served HOT AND DELICIOUS!!

Finding is a bit challenging and parking is limited- but WORTH IT!

There is now a big parking lot located right next to the store. No more hunting for parking 🙂

It’s fun to visit Hawaiian Chip Company and purchase made to order chips. You can select seasonings to sprinkle onto your chips. The staff here is VERY friendly. We purchased the one pound box (shown in photo). Yum! The chips here are THE best!!

Went there for the first time today after wanting to try some of their freshly made chips after hearing about them, and they did NOT disappoint! I got the mixed (taro and sweet potato)1 pound chips that comes in a cute company logo box and made fresh while you wait. It takes just a few minutes to prepare and so well worth it. The super friendly staff makes the wait super pleasant by giving you samples of their other products, and there are other interesting products and items on the shelves to debate on buying while you wait also haha...Great experience and an honor to support local business, thank you for offering loyalty punch cards because I will definitely be coming back!!

Excellence personified! This location spans 3 buildings (one of which is directly across the street but is easily distinguishable by the vibrant orange/gold color scheme). The building that's makai houses a deli (excellent musubis and sandwiches) and public restrooms. The building closest that's across the way sells drinks and their signature Taro chips and sweet potato chips and other ono snacks! The staff is top notch in their customer service and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting.

In addition to their taro chips, they also sell potato chips (thicker like kettle style), macadamia nut okoshi, sauces, Uncle's ice cream sandwiches, and other random goodies. Only the taro and sweet potato chips are made to order. The potato chips ($6/bag) are made in the mornings and once they've sold out for the day, that's it! Of significant note is their seasoning bar by the entrance. Customers are invited to season their own chips (they'll give you an extra bag if you want to break up your chips into separate batches for seasoning). They have flavors such as furikake, salt, Cajun, Maui onion, nori, BBQ, cinnamon & sugar, garlic, etc. So yum! The okoshi was too sweet for me but definitely worth a try. My favorite seasonings were the salt, nori, furikake and Maui onion.

They are so friendly! And you can taste almost everything in the store. Order fresh make taro chips are the best. When it comes out you can season it to your liking with all kinds of different flavors, yummy! I'll be back soon, hope i remember to take a picture next time before I eat it all! Got the picture now!

Today's treat, chips and pop corn! Chips are fresh daily, you can get "more" fresh if you wait for 15 min. They also have some collaboration pop corn with Island Popper. They add their original spice over the pop corn. I like they put a toothpick on each bag. (I use chopstick!) The lady was very friendly and kind. I cannot wait for my next visit.

If you love taro chips but have only had the prepackaged ones sold in stores, you are MISSING OUT! Hawaiian Chip Company sells made to order chips and they are AMAZING! Even better than the prepackaged ones... Warm, fresh and oh so yummy! Skip buying a bag.... Get the box for $15! They even have yummy toppings to sprinkle on your chips. My son loves furikake but I don't add anything at all.... Just the fresh chips! You can also get an assortment of dips, hot sauces, ice cream sandwiches and even a coffee or latte! They feature locally made products and everything is ono!
