If you're passing by hungry at their eatery below the paved road which actually left a separate review for during their lunch hours you absolutely have to stop here. Personally I drive across the whole island with friends just to eat here. It is the destination! The best hamburger I've ever had at a fair value as well. The coconut squash soup is insanely awesome. Their lunch time is now on a regular schedule and I know they'll be super successful because of everything I've experienced here on multiple occasions. This place is truly special and one of a kind.

I live near Hilo, Driving up here from the north side is only a couple minutes longer and such a beautiful drive I like to go that way when I come from volcano. Amazing the kitchen is solar powered and the food grows on the property or is sourced from the nearest farm.

The owners are awesome and they even have a venue where they'll do live bands well into the night hours with beautiful music and DJ's. They've got two stage areas, one perched on a tall grassland hillside with expansive ocean views. And another across the road in the forest feeling cozy like you're a kid again. Too late to drive back to civilization so everybody just slept out under the stars. Watched a breathtaking sunrise! Good food, good vibes. I'll always keep an ear open for when they're having an event here.

What a wonderful place. Outstanding, interesting, tasty food [including best-ever vegan food if you want it]. Magnificent views of the ocean and of the lands below. Sky full of bright stars [no light pollution up at Manadina!] Highly recommended.

A Beautiful scenic location' the food is sprinkled with aloha in every bite. We stopped by on our wedding anniversary to sample the menu and were pleased to see Justin' Jasmine' and staff doing what comes naturally.

This beautiful farm is tucked away in the hills of Na’alehu. A short drive from the quaint town, once you reach this farm you have incredible sunrises and expansive views down to the ocean from the property. Jasmine and Justin who own and tend to their sustainable farm, are incredible hosts. If you stay on this farm to camp you will feel the magic of Big Island’s Aloha and Mana in its truest form. From their home-cooked meals pulling from their fresh exotic fruits, greens, and vegetables paired with local fish and beef, to the melodic coqui’s songs at night that will lull you to sleep. There is magic in the air.

With over 10 varieties of avocados growing on their property, I certainly got more than my fill of avocado toast for the year. You can also find papayas, mangos, bananas, star fruit, tangelos, Tahitian limes, passion fruit (Lilikoi), breadfruit, jack fruit, and the very medicinal noni when in season or ripe. We stayed for 3 days in mid-January and we were able to consume most of these fruits while we were there.

The farm is within driving distance to the Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach (22 mins) to swim with sea turtles and to Southernmost Point in the United States (35 mins) for one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. While staying on the farm we also made the easy 1-hour drive to Volcano National Park to spend the day. We found that Manadina Farm was a perfect home base to check out everything the South and East sides of the island had to offer. It was also a great launching point before heading up to Captain Cook (1-hour drive west) for the next part of our tour and where the best snorkeling is on the island.

The hosts are warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. They are great resources for recommendations on hidden and remote spots to check out while traveling Big Island. Jasmine and Justin are truly cultivating a unique piece of paradise on these grounds. If you want an authentic Hawaiian experience their farm is a “must stay”.
