Nice park with plenty space. It has children playground, swimming pool, tennis court... I haven't had an issue yet. People walk their dogs too. However, a few times there's people smoking on the grass. They should be taken care of.

Playground for littles tucked away from the parking lot with uncovered benches to sit on and keep an eye on kiddos. Bring an umbrella.

Bathrooms are clean and well-kept, indoors inside the administration building.

Park picnic benches under trees are available. Dirt/overgrown grass underfoot, do not recommend going barefoot or in short pants. Bring LOTS of Lysol wipes or other cleaning products to wipe down seating and tables. The birds that live in these older trees above the benches are very well-fed.

Garbage cans nearby. Bring a fan to shoo away flies.

Plentiful free parking in the lower and upper lots. Minimal security. Lock your vehicle and ensure valuables are with you. Off of Ke'eamoku St., so lots of folks walk by, it's near a skate park, and a significant houseless population camps by the overpass. All peaceful folks from what I could see, but just be aware that parking lot security is very minimal, the parking lot is not visible from the larger park area, and this is a busy/heavily trafficked area.

Nice large park and community rec area. Facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, basket ball courts, skate park, large open field, jungle gym, and community garden. The waitlist for a plot in the garden can be over a year long wait as turnover is low. Plenty of street parking along 3 sides of the park as well as 2 parking lots. Lots of benches under the shade of big trees. There are old buildings that look like they are for community use, though Im not sure exactly what for. Public restrooms are well stocked, but like most park restrooms, graffiti is rampant. Would like a water fountain though. Overall a very nice park in the city.

We've been here a couple of times due to our neighborhood playground being under construction. I really like that a community garden is a part of the park. I also appreciate that this park has a number of trees and palms right around the playground area providing shade for those sitting on the sides watching their children. I think this park could benefit from a shade over the playground as can be found at other parks. Yet, many others also dont have shade. The children seem to not have too much of a problem with it. There's a nice big pool here as well as a smaller one for keiki. I've only been there twice at the time of this review, but in my experience so far, it's a good place to take the little ones to play and engage with others.

My wife and I like to walk through the gardens here (been on the wait-list going on two years now) in the mornings or evenings when it's cool. The park is nice but could use a few more shade trees, lights, and a new jungle gym for the kids (pictured and why it's not 5/5 stars). For a park that serves such a big population, this jungle gym is too small and it's so dusty located next to the mulch pile. Other thing a park of this caliber ought to have are those body weight bars and machines many other parks (Ala Wai, Diamond Head, Kapiolani) have and that people of all ages like. Lots of potential to be a truly great park. The pool and courts are great, and though I don't use it, the skate park seems popular too.

Our go-to park 🙂 so fun and lots to do. Great for the kids to get out some energy and you to get out of the “city.”
Well kept and safe, the playground can get a bit crowded but there is much more for the kids to do like the tennis & basketball courts, skate park, large field, and pool (which is unfortunately opened under strict conditions due to COVID right now).
Watch out for random homeless that will walk by, just make sure you are responsible at keeping an eye on your kids and belongings.
Parking by the playground can be tough but there’s plenty of parking by the skate park off Keeaumoku.
