I mean, it’s a beach in Hawaii so it’s hard to give it less than that, but it was the rockiest of all the beaches I went to during my week on Oahu. It’s a real locals spot and not the place to go surfing, but if you want a chill day in some calm waters with some stunning views, Maunalua Bay has it.

This is a great beach and it’s rarely crowded. The views are great as well with lush in the background and volcanic on the other side.

This is one of the best places on the island to watch the sunset from. Breathtaking.

Absolutely ZERO help from life guards when it comes to first aid anything. Staff is rude and volunteers are only there to talk about themselves instead of getting you to the beach quicker. Do not recommend for pricing.

Practically had the entire beach to ourselves. Warm sands and nice breeze. The surf and waves are thrashing. Be prepared for a workout swimming in the water. Watch out for the rocky areas. Surf crashes up and will sweep an adult away.

All I can say is this is one of the best beaches on the island. Water was amazing. The sand felt like you were walking on carpet. The drive from Wakiki Beach was very scenic. Amazing visit to the beach.

Place is nice n clean, its more of a park than a beach. Good for get togethers, BBQ or just to hangout n enjoy the scenery.. The bay itself have numerous watersports like canoeing, jetsking, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, parasailing etc...by businesses operating from the marinas.
However, the highlight of this beach park and the reason i go there besides some fishing is because I believe this is the only place during low tide that you can walk out pretty far out onto the reefs that are mostly made up of sand. I've even seen people walk with their dogs out there. Its Awesome!
