Willow Wisp Organic Farm is a certified organic farm (and no-spray which is beyond certified organic) that sells at the Union Square Greenmarket on Wednesdays, May through much of December in NYC. The owner Greg Schwartz is very friendly and helpful and an expert farmer, and has a special selection of quality vegetables in excellent condition, including such brassica dark leafy greens as Spigarello, and the more common Tuscan Kale, Broccoli Rabe, varieties of lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, herbs and other vegetable varieties. It is best to shop earlier in the day before selections sell out, as Willow Wisp is also popular with chefs from restaurants.
