Absolutely the best place to take friends and family!
Cold beer, great bands, beautiful atmosphere, and one of the best bartenders in the area. Mel is our very favorite! She is always prompt to have a cold drink ready for everyone and is big on offering the newest drinks and best brews to sample. Of course you need to try the flight as she will recommend drinks to your liking.

This cute open spaced taproom, was the perfect drop off after lunch in Orange. They have a nice selection on tap from Hard Seltzers to Imperial Stouts. From the looks of it, they also have a plethora of activities to keep you entertained from game nights, and live bands. I will definitely be back. On a side note, the artwork on display is amazing. Good vibes overall.

I am from Rochester NY, which is a big beer town with lots of microbreweries and is the home of Genesee Brewery; 4 City is on par with the quality of microbreweries that I get at home. Without a doubt, this is the BEST microbrewery in NJ. The beer flavors are diverse, well thought out, balanced, and have a smooth finish.

Everything about this place has been well researched and thought out. The tables, location, parking, Coat hooks under the tables, USB outlets in the walls, and a box of board games to choose from means that the owners thought long and hard about what will make this place comfortable and make people want to stay.

I got a chance to speak with one of the Owners Roger Apollon while I was here; and he enlightened me as to all of the hard work, and careful thought that went into this place. Getting a chance to interact with an establishment’s proprietor is rare and welcome.

Since moving to NJ, I have not had a brewery that made me feel at home and 4 city does. Take the time and grab a beer, it’s well worth it!

Fresh beer in almost an art studio. Anthony and the team work hard to make 4 Cities a welcoming oasis in the area. Stop in and say hello. I grabbed his new Marzan for my beer and brats night with friends. DELICIOUS and true to the heritage.

Such a great little brewery! Shared 2 flights with a friend, and not a bad beer in the bunch. Also took a 4-pack home, and might buy some of the art. Anthony was great, and answered all my questions. Glad we came in! (We're from Atlanta)

Had two beers, both were wonderful. Great flavor and aroma. Good vibe and decor. Bartender was very helpful, guiding several customers that were new to craft beer to make choices that suited them. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Newark.

Meet your friends after work at this hip joint. They make a wide variety of excellent brews, dark and light. There's a jazz jam on Wednesday nights- the music was really enjoyable. The atmosphere is really comfortable and spacious. Staff are friendly. A few snacks would be a worthwhile addition.
