Decided to take a beautiful Sunday afternoon to take in the gardens. Was one of the best decisions made, and quite frankly, cannot wait to take in the gardens during high blooming season.
June in the gardens brought a wonderful solitude. Enjoyed the teaching moments stacked right next to one another, roses of various hues, but with newer hybrids placed next to varieties of long vintage.... the experience is intoxicating.
Walking down to the Tea House, hearing the babbling brook and imagining having a good tea with a friend would be just a moment to remember. All of this beauty and literally less than a block and 1/2 from City Avenue. Just a wonderful, wonderful experience. And....it's free!!
I'll have to return Thursday - Saturday to see the newly renovated Museum.

Certainly not a typical college arboretum visit experience. Thoughtfully arranged gardens and woodlands make this arboretum stand out. I want to commend friendly people working here, we got recommendations on how to get most from the visit and short introduction into the history of the place.

Beautiful, peaceful, albeit not very large arboretum open to the public (free access & parking). Blooming flowers, bushes, & trees make for a wonderful visit. Several zones with seating - great for reading, simply enjoying nature, or having a pleasant conversation

Free public garden that has lots to explore with a diverse range of plants to gawk at. It has many places to sit down on student made benches and a little pond. I highly enjoyed this place and would recommend if you’re looking for something to do around the area thats free and pretty.

This was an interesting arboretum. I enjoyed the rose and peony gardens. The monkey puzzle trees and ferns collections were also interesting.
