Heirloom farmer's markets — Oro Valley

It's a fun place with a real diversity of vendors.

It's a great place to hold a farmer's market, plenty of open area so if you have some kids, can blow off some steam…the bathrooms are clean as well. There's also a museum there with lots of great history. It's called the Steam Pump Ranch. Some of the docents are really a type of living history. One of them was the former mayor in Oro Valley.

One of them was in the Tucson rodeo when she was a young cowgirl…. She was in her mid-eighties… "One of them was related to the original family that settled Steam Pump Ranch… I'm sure the museum changed their focus, but it was pretty cool..

Lots of dogs and some of them are quite friendly… They usually have some local group playing. When I was there, it was a kind of country Western bluegrass type band with a lot of style, It seemed like it was a bunch of old friends playing together and just making old timey music. The vendors were friendly and helpful with information about their products… There is a wide variety of fresh products for sale,  currently the focus is on the citrus  fruit harvest. They have several locations around they have fresh hot food vendors, grocery food vendors,a couple of bakeries, health and wellness vendors, and  artisans.

It's always fun to enjoy the fresh smells from roasting chili's to pupusas, homemade burritos, and homemade soups! Click on their website through Yelp to get details about vendors and artisans available at each farmers market.

The Oro Valley Fall Artisan Market is big and has many diverse vendors. That said, it’s not nearly as big as the 4th Ave Markets that come to town twice a year. This one was not as interesting to me overall, but if you hit all the booths you will likely discover something you like. We bought from 2 vendors. The food options are pretty limited. Net, it was nice and worth an hour of our time but not sure it was worth the drive from the East side to this Oro Valley venue.

I love this market. I bought a salad, onions, chilis, a peppermint deodorant bar and garlic olive oil from there.

Nice little farmers market with a decent variety of shops. Not a huge variety of fresh produce here, and what is available seems to go quickly. They have a variety of food carts / stalls selling freshly made food - you can take your food and eat at the picnic tables on the grass area. This past Saturday (April 8, 2023) they had some games and stuff set up for kids. Parking lot is dirt, and can be very dusty with vehicle traffic and any bit of wind.

Nice little farmers market with all local vendors. Have been wanting to go to this place for some time, finally made it this morning. There's variety of shops and vendors. We were looking for a lot of vegetable and fruits options but were very limited.

We go here most Saturdays, it's a small farmers market but it's nice, there's a lot of heirloom vegetables, and the guy with the snacks has great snacks. We always go to the Korean place which has excellent Korean barbecue

A great place, best place to get fresh roasted coffee. And next to the farmers market is the Steam Pump Ranch with a great history and events.

Wonderful vendors, willing to engage in Sonoren products, farming traditions, and health benefits of their foods. Chef prepared foods are here along side fresh harvested produce. A Saturday morning tradition to enjoy.
