I have been searching for eggs from chickens that are free-roaming in the sense that they have access to the outdoors all day with plenty of outdoor space, instead of trapped indoors where they're not naturally meant to be. Very disappointing that they advertise they're "free-roaming" when they're not. Just change your advertisement so people like me aren't buying the wrong things. Feels like they did this on purpose to trick people into paying for these.

Regarding the "free roaming" debate...this came directly from their website..."“Free-roaming” refers to the fact that our hens are not in cages within the chicken house. Our hens are free to roam around inside the chicken house and produce what is called a “cage-free” egg. Our houses are designed with facilities that promote the bird’s natural behaviors." - To sum it up, the chickens are still kept indoors. If you want true, free range/cage free eggs, your better off doing your own research and not by going off of the packaging. I do live near this farm as well if that helps.

The reviewers saying they don’t understand the low reviews and defending the eggs are NOT reading the low reviews. The eggs do taste great actually, however, they are saying that these chickens are not true organic free range chickens because they are kept in buildings with no access to the outside for sunlight and fresh air, insects, etc.
It could be easily done by Alderfers since there is ample space between the buildings and at the ends. Put up fencing, install access doors so they can move in and out of the building, and there you go. Happy chickens. Happy clients. Happy Alderfers.

The bad reviews are completely wrong. These eggs are great! The taste is very good and much fresher than any store label brand. These store label brands are a joke. Who knows where or how the chickens are raised in. The Alderfer family seems very trustworthy. According to their website, the organic chickens get to go outside and they really do care for them. It also looks like they work with a lot of other small farmers. This is much better than some big corporate farms that produce these store label brands. It is TRUE, the Cornucopia institute did give them a higher score now!

I'm not sure why all the low reviews, it's a bit nutty, like a lot came from one bad blog post. Alderfer sells white kosher free roaming eggs. They are also third-party Certified Humane Cage Free.

You know how rare that is? I can't find another company! Brown eggs sure, but not white. The difference compared to other companies with brown eggs - half of each carton has brown eggs with blood spots! No matter the brand. So gross.
With Alderfer, I don't lose half a cartoon to blood spots, I don't have to open them individually before adding to pan to check for blood. Don't get me wrong, these are great eggs but having competition is always good, you don't want non-kosher eggs, it means the feed isn't kosher, it might say vegetarian feed, but most isn't USA made... Chinese imported feed ingredients (which many have found to have been contaminated when toxic chemicals).

I'll also mention they've got a 3 RATING from the CORNUCOPIA institute. So this is a case of really seeing for yourself.
I only wrote a review because, well, a lot of people are idiots and by writing a review not on the eggs but on fake news doesn't sit well with me...

Easy in Easy Out. Make sure you have some sort of empty and loaded scale tickets for them to verify your weight. Was finished in under an hour, wonderful staff.

I came to this Google + page to find pictures of the farm. To my dismay there are none.
Packaging in their USDA Organic White Eggs says "Free Roaming".
I just wanted to verify that the chickens are truly "free roaming" by seeing pictures or videos of them.
