I recently purchased frozen pizzas from Pizza Freak Co. after a recommendation from a chef friend and a glowing write-up in the Philadelphia Inquirer. I was skeptical at first, but after trying it, I was absolutely blown away. This pizza is hands down the best I've ever had, even better than what you get from top-notch restaurants!

The crust is perfectly crispy, giving that satisfying crunch with every bite. The sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are incredibly fresh and generous. Every component of the pizza is perfectly balanced, making each bite a delight.

I don't know why this pizza gets such great reviews. It is THE MOST GOD AWFUL pizza on the planet. I cooked according to package directions. It was in the oven for 45 minutes. The crust was school cafeteria soggy. Disgusting. I threw it out. What a waste.

As food enthusiasts and empty nesters, my husband and I were curious about Pizza Freak Co. after reading the positive reviews from Hunter Lewis, editor-in-chief of Food & Wine magazine, at the 2023 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. Trusting his recommendation, we decided to give it a try.

Tonight, we baked our first pizza, adding Italian sausage, pickled red onion, sautéed shallots, and aged Parmesan Reggiano. It turned out to be a fantastic meal.

We paired our pizza with a vintage Barbaresco from our cellar, which we've had for a decade, making the evening even more special. Even though we love cooking, having dinner ready in less than an hour was a great convenience.
