This was a visual playground! What loves banks of flowers and rafts of plants! Spectacular! I need several trips to really absorb the various mini-climates that have been created. The Koi pond is amazing. The handcarved bridges and wrestles are fine art and craftsmanship.

Chanticleer is like an enchanted garden. There are so many beautiful and magical areas in the garden. Enjoy the lovely Chanticleer House terraces, elevated walkway and serpentine. Wander through the Asian Woods and explore the Ruin Garden. There is beautiful furniture and gates made from wood on the property, and even the drinking fountains are works of art. There is beauty around ever corner at Chanticleer. It is truly a pleasure garden. Arrive early because parking is limited, and parking reservations are required on some days. Be sure to check the website for more information before visiting.

Wonderful visit, pleasant trails and plants/gardens. A little confusing as the map provided is not good: there is The House, and then The Other House. Trying to figure out where we were and how to get from A to B was a challenge. Delightful gardens nonetheless and well worth a visit. Flowers at the end of October!

We had an outstanding visit to Chanticleer today! There were so many highlights! 50 acres full of flora and fauna. We learned a lot on the highlights tour - our guide Anne was very knowledgeable and guided us through the historic estate owned by the Rosengarten family. Pack a picnic lunch and reserve their free parking. You’ll easily lose track of time exploring the beautiful property.

We had a wonderful multigenerational visit. Lots of seating to enjoy the beautiful grounds. It's a comfortable walk. You can spend as little as an hour or bring food and a blanket and have a picnic on the lawns. I would have loved it if the names of the various trees and flowers were displayed like they do in Longwood Gardens

Chanticleer is one of the most gorgeous places I’ve had the privilege to visit. Every bit of this land is carefully maintained, each piece of the garden is perfectly in place to create an enjoyable walk through nature. The paths never get too dull as you can take one of the many branching pathways which are all individually decorated with carved rocks, handmade benches often, and ornate stone-work laid within the paths themselves. The staff here keeps the vision of the original owners garden while elevating it with well placed stones, archways and paths winding through the landscapes. We were awestruck by the beauty of this place, which was only elevated by the fall colors.

My partner and I chose a Thursday morning around 11:30 to arrive and it was perfect! Very few people were here, but the staff was incredibly kind. The woman who checked us in saw us later into the walk and gave us some history on the ‘Ruins’ section of the land. It was audibly quiet, which made the experience all the more lovely.

Everything was well maintained and clean in the restrooms as well as most of the trails and sitting areas.

Overall this location is beautiful during the fall and the walk was a comfortable length with benches and sitting areas for those who need them. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is considering. At $12 per adult this a fantastic price for the time spent here.
