What a great way to spend a few hours!

We parked for free in their lot behind the gift shop and museum. Bring quarters or download the ParkMobile.io app if you plan to park on the street and use the meters.

Ruth Anne, our tour guide, was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. She handled every question we threw at her and even jumped in to take photos for people. Super helpful!

While the brewery operation tour itself is interesting, there’s nothing unique if you’re familiar with the brewing process. What I most appreciated is that the tour focuses on the story of the business, the challenges faced by the family over the years, and the local history - to me, that is what is truly remarkable about the Yuengling story.

Although we were disappointed to learn that the Rathskeller is now closed to tourists (you can look at it through a doorway but can no longer go in), I’m glad to know that it’s because the family understands the importance of preserving that space. I would love to see something similar done with the cooperage one day. The art of barrel making is becoming a lost art and it would make a nice addition to the tour in the future.

Plan on spending at least an hour. We spent closer to two hours because we ended up drinking and talking with other tourists in the well appointed tasting room at the end of the tour and then browsed the merchandise in the gift shop.

10/10, would drink beer at Yuengling again!

I have been an avid beer can collector since the early 80's, and some of my favorite cans have been my Yuengling Cans. This visit and tour has been on the top of my list of places to go since I was a kid. I am soo glad I came, and you will too! This Family and Brewery is richly embedded in our history. I learned a great deal from the tour. Things that you can't get from anywhere else. The Halls of the building shout at you from the past, with people who put blood, sweat, and tears into the company that is today. Anyone who resides in this country should visit here and pay homage to a family who kept their business and the people that worked here during prohibition alive, and working. I mean who has the genius to start a dairy where the gift shop is now..when the govt. tells you you can't sell the only thing you produce, and puts walls up to block you from storing and distributing it. This company founded in 1829 survived during wars and economy crashes. I can't get this where I live, so everytime I come back home to P.A. I make sure I have a fresh stock of this tasty and amazing beer. Mr. Dick Yuengling and family, I am proud to have taken this tour and I will cherish it forever. Keep up the good work!

Visited June 18th, 2021. Best damn brewery tour there will ever be in this country. The caves are a sight to behold and history drives everything home. Great beer, too.

This tour is always so fun! I remember going on it ever since i was little and drinking birch beer after the tour. I’m finally able to try the beer, and i love the bongo fizz! I love going through the old tunnels and relearning the history every time

More than your standard brew tour. A lot more. This is more like a history lesson with beer at the end, and probably the coolest brewery experience you'll get. Ever wonder what catacombs filled with beer barrels look like? You can walk through 'em. How kegs were filled in the days of olde? What prohibition did to legit operating houses? The narrowest street a distributer truck can snake down? Come do this! Also, the gift shop has merch and bottles you can't find anywhere else.
