Just delicious! Traubโ€™s really came through with the donuts today. I walked out of their bakery with a half dozen of these round bad boys and they did not disappoint!! The cream-filled donuts were stuffed to perfection with their decadently rich and airy filling, hugged by a light and not too flaky dough. The jelly donuts had a perfect ratio of sweetness and tartness to the filling. They were magnificent. I also picked up one of their beautifully decorated king cakes, which I had searched for all over the day before but to no avail. The cake was still fresh and sparkling. Thank you, Traubโ€™s, for making this rainy day a little sweeter!

When placing an order, you must be careful as you will get different quotes. I order Petit Fours every year from Traubs because they are awesome there, but unfortunately this new management has staff that doesn't know the difference between petit Fours and tea cakes. What they presented me with was beautiful and of course I used them but this bring me to the next point: details. I asked for half to be chocolate half vanilla and to use pastels florets (the icing they use never cured for the florets which means they used the wrong kind of icing as well) and I got nothing of what I asked. It seems as though the person who took my order was not familiar with my request and naturally asked for help from an colleague, so my specifics got lost in translation and "the slip" did not have my specifications. The "icing" on the cake is one employee seems to get annoyed if you ask if something is done earlier then anticipated, which was weird because I only asked the question. This employee was even petty enough to make sure I waited the 10 minutes until 4 pm on the dot, which is fine, I just thought it rather silly and petty. Overall I enjoy Traubs and honestly happy they got new management because the variety is wayyyy bettet BUT practicing better listening skills would be appreciated, because as they say: if you assume what a client wants, you just the first 3 letters. Of course I would still buy from Traubs but maybe not special orders anymore because I don't appreciate the unnecessary hassle.

Below I posted a pic of 2022 Petit Fours versus 2023 version: Notice the size difference and variation differences. Both beautiful but I did not get what I ordered.

Never again will we use this place EVER. just picked up what was supposed to be a rum cake (also ordered and paid for 2 cream filled donuts we didn't get) It looks as if it was made frozen and started to thaw the whole bottom of the box was wet and as you can see no fault of our own in transport or the box would have had icing all over it. Call to tell them and it was nothing but an argument with the owner or manager whoever it was literally screaming at me. One lady offered to fix it while my sister was there then another came out and said it was not fixable unless they remade the whole cake so she brought it home (wasn't given much of a choice and they tried to charge her a second time even though it was already paid when ordered. This is not the same place it was years ago they have permanently lost our business especially after saying we shouldn't have taken it then instead of saying sorry for sending a cake out that way. And then they swore they gave her the donuts yet what they gave her was a free random donut for the "trouble"

Let me start off by saying this is a cute little bakery. The atmosphere is nice, the staff always attentive as they answer all your questions, overall a great experience in that light. Though shortly lived as I purchased a coconut custard and an apple caramel pie for my Holiday desserts and I'm disappointed, angry even as they were not cheap! I'll start with the coconut custard, the custard was not set and the pie was quite wet. Now the apple caramel pie, the flavor of the pie was mediocre, but the crust was not fully cooked and the topping was over cooked (the oven most likely was too hot, that and/or pie placement) so basically, both of my pies were under cooked. Trash! I've purchased from this bakery before when it was under another owner and have never had a problem, but I'm really disappointed with the pies, we threw away the coconut custard immediately and I didn't think to get a picture. But the caramel apple we cut in the 26th so that is the picture below, you can clearly see an undercooked pie crust.

What a disappointment! I live in Cincinnati and have been visiting relatives in Philadelphia for more than 40 yrs. A stop at Traubs Bakery for their cream donuts has been a staple for as long as I can remember. My relatives now live in Delaware and we went an hour and a half out of our way to get these donuts. What an extremely disappointing result!!! I have pics from 2019 when we were here last vs today, July 28 2022. My whole family looks forward to these donuts, we even tell people where we live that they're the best cream donuts anywhere. They have totally ruined the best thing they have going. Look at the side by side pics, 2019 vs 2022. It is absolutely absurd. Dunkin Donuts 1 Traubs 0, whoever would have thought.

Not bad for just poping in if you want something sweet from a bakery, you have to catch them when it's fresh though

The cake is delicious and so is everything else. Traub's is a well-loved bakery in Delco. If you haven't been, seek them out and treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.
