A wonderful csa and caring farm. They donated so much time and love to host the faire festival every year regardless of the strain it put on them. I have so many cherished memories and have gotten to introduce so many people to the magic there. Much love and luck to the farm and all it's endeavors.

The festival that they host is extremely nice, but they need to think how to get guests in and out when the weather turns nasty. The parking field turns to slippery mud, cars that didn't have 4-wheel drive slid everywhere. Walking into the festival, guests with baby strollers got stuck. The festival itself is fun and whimsical for all ages. It has a nice balance of helping local organizations and good spirited fun.

Spoutwood is a place of homecoming. It's a place that exudes love; you can feel it in the land. It's a place of pilgrimage for many of us.

For some, they see it as a day for kids only; for some, they find it easy to criticize, especially after this past Fairie Festival. I saw someone claim they cared more about money than the patrons, which I find ridiculous. It was concern for people's safety that the festival was cancelled that Sunday, for the first time in its history. And even then, people complained mightily. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's pretty ridiculous.

The people there worked hard to try and keep the festival open, until it became clear that closing would be the safest thing to do. People need to understand that this is all done by volunteers, by people who care about other people, as well as the land. There were people at the farm on Sunday trying to help and assess the damage. I know some of these people personally; I know what they went through. People who simply want to complain would do well to listen, instead, and take their negativity elsewhere. There's constructive criticism, and then there's bitching. Nobody needs the latter.

Spoutwood is a place of beauty in many different ways. The people there put so much love into the land -- it is an active organic farm -- and everything that goes on there. It's not some scheme, not something where people are working to screw others over. It's the opposite. Go there and see for yourself, in that first flush of spring when the trees are coming into their green. Go see the smiles, hear the laughter and cheers, the happiness of reunions. Go and experience Spoutwood with an open heart, and you will not be disappointed.

Love this place. I miss the fairie festival being there. It was a great place to take the kids and explore nature and just be "earthy". They had great bands and drum circles. You can go there and just be you. AWESOME place to be.

Fairy Festival is fun! Great for children and families. No alcohol!!! Good food, cool vendors selling handmade products. But beware when it rains it becomes a nasty muddy mess. Festival planners really need a solution for this problem.
