They have a cat. His name is Woody, and he's the best part about visiting here. I often come during my lunch hour (since my office is within walking distance of here) and nothing brightens my days more than walking around and a silly little guy comes up to me while I'm just browsing! Staff are very kind and always willing to help out and give advice, pick out the right gardening stuff and whatnot.

I bought a Beautiful rosebush last week and it is not doing well. I called to get some advice and they were extremely helpful and kind. They gave me advice to help my Rose succeed and do better. I appreciate the willingness to offer advice to their customers.
So far I’m not very good at this green thumb thing, but I’m hoping to improve!

The folks over at Rillito Nursery are totally Awesome to work with. Their facility, their friendliness, expertise and selection of trees, plants, herbs and vegetables are all top notch. My wife and I bought our first large Philodendron here back in 2005. I needed a large plant as an accent in the corner of my flagstone patio. 16 years later it's still loving it, with roots leaving the pot and established underground.

I buy all of my Fox Farm soils and additives from Rillito and even found a nice desert willow some years ago for my front yard. The folks that work herre are friendly and Beth the manager is knowledgable. She can match their inventory to your needs in a flash and can help you choose the right plants for your home's particular elevation and micro-climate. I also bought Papyrus back in 2006 which is still growing nicely as a potted plant.

For nursery to last so well over so many years is impressive. Their stock of seeds, soil, flower selections, shrubs, trees, pots, tools, and additives makes this nursery a one-stop oasis.

This place is always so awesome. They always have what I need and their employees are super knowledgeable and helpful. They never just let you stand there looking lost. It's like they know when you need help and there's somebody there. However they're not shadowing you and watching your every move so it's not like an annoying thing. They just tend to plan to make sure everything's going well and if they see you standing there looking around they're there to help. They always have really good quality products and they're overall just really awesome. I went there yesterday to get some yellow roses and I was able to find some good quality roses to plant and they look beautiful.

I love my plants from Rillito Nursery and I've been wanting to try the foxfarm soil and was able to find it there. Very impressive garden nursery.

I was bored and I wanted to add some flowers to my front yard. And I set my eyes on a rosebush that I really wanted. I asked the employee what suggestions and who what favorites they had for roses and the colors. I ended up getting the peachy red tone kind of rose. I also ended up browsing and looking around at the other plants just to see if there was anything else that could catch my eye. But it was overwhelming to see so many plants in one little location. Not in a bad way though. I just didn’t really think there would be that many plants of all kinds of varieties. And I thought it was really awesome to see all that as much as I would love to take them all home with me. I end up settling for this one little rose bush. And it’s been a couple months now. And the bushes been growing fantastically it’s been budding. It’s also shown several roses on it. So it’s really pretty to see it grow big healthy. I would definitely recommend this place. They have a really good variety of plants and roses and flowers to choose from.
