After leaving this review a couple months ago...

"I ordered some maple syrup from you guys a month ago, and have had no follow up email. I've tried to call and email several times with no response. I figured maybe if I left a bad review you might respond. I know sometimes life happens, but please at least email me about the status if my order."

I had to come back to express my appreciation for how well this company handled this previous issue. They went above and beyond to make this miscommunication right! After ensuring that I received my order, they also sent a second order with the same stuff I had ordered plus two extra items that we are so excited to try! Super grateful for the extra effort this company has put in to making this experience the best it could be.

I also would like to say that this is some of the best syrup we've tried! The flavor and quality is unmatched.

Will definitely be ordering from this company again!

You were recommended by my cousins and I was very excited to get your maple syrup. I ordered two glass bottles and they weren’t packed well. One bottle is completely shattered and the other one has cracks. I have emailed twice with no response. Your product might be great, but your customer service isn’t. Do better.

Happy to take down this review if you replace the product or refund my money.

I was in Stowe for a week and promised my children that I'd bring home Vermont Maple Syrup. My only acquisition parameter was I wanted to purchase directly from a maple sugar farmer within a one hour ride from Stowe. My Google search results pointed me to the Gateway Farm in Bristol, VT. A bonus of the trip was Google Maps leading me over a local unpaved road over the mountain; the drive was beautiful. At the farm, I met Trent and his father Ed who represented 6 generations of Vermont maple syrup producers. After I purchased my syrup, Trent led me on a tour of the sugar house where large stainless steel tubs of sugar maple sap was boiling over a wood fire. You need to evaporate 40 gallons of sap to produce 1 gallon of syrup. I could go on for another two paragraphs but go check it out for yourself.

Figured I’d leave a review because that seems to be the only place we can contact you right now. I placed an order on Feb 11 and haven’t heard anything. I’ve tried emailing, calling, checking your Facebook page (IG is deactivated) and haven’t heard anything. I understand that some life situations have happened and that has resulted in order delays, but any communication would be appreciated. There’s a whole thread of concerned customers on your Facebook in the same situation, wondering if everything is okay.

That said, this is seriously the best maple syrup I have EVER had! I’m eagerly awaiting getting more. I bought a small bottle from the store to get me by until this order comes, and my partner quickly commented on how it lacks flavor compared to your syrup. It truly can’t be beat! Hope things start to turn around for your family soon.

I placed an order almost a month ago & have yet to receive it. I received an email about 1 1/2 weeks after my order stating the shipping label had been printed but they have yet to actually ship my order. I've emailed the email address listed in their email to inquire on my order & my emails get returned as undeliverable. I've called multiple times with no answer & no call back. I've also left a Facebook message & still no communication at all. At this point I just want a refund & will be calling my card company tomorrow. I've order from this company several times & have had no problems until now. As farmers ourselves, we try to buy from family owned businesses but the lack of communication is not good business. I will never order from them again. I've read a few of the other reviews & see I'm not the only one who has had this problem.

I placed an online order for syrup and my card was charged but my syrup was not shipped and there was no communication from Gateway. After several emails, Abby did respond, apologizing for technical issues. I am giving them 5 stars because of the way Abby handled my frustration and their syrup is incredible! She sent the maple sugar as well because of delivery issues. Not only are their products delicious, but the labeling and packaging are beautiful! Thank you Abby for making it right and for the amazing products!

I have ordered many gallons of The Gateway Farm's syrup and will never be caught without at least (1) unopened gallon because I can't risk running out. Abby posts amazing content on Instagram that always leaves me craving a simpler life with beautiful milk cows. Morning coffee with their delicious syrup is a beautiful way to wake up every morning.
