I rented the Early Katering Rocktown Hall for my family's Thanksgiving dinner, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Grace was amazing! She worked with me for months and was incredibly patient with all my questions and any changes I wanted to make. The hall comfortably accommodated 100 people and featured a bar and a TV, perfect for watching the football games on that day.

There is a buffet room where we could set up all the food, keeping it out of the way of the seating area. Tables, chairs, and tablecloths were all included in the rental. The hall was beautifully decorated, and my family was very impressed with how everything looked.

I also have to mention the turkey we had catered—it tasted even better than the one we prepared ourselves! I highly recommend Early Katering Company for any catering or rental needs. I would rate them 10/10!

We had an excellent experience with Early Catering Company at our wedding this past weekend. The food and service staff members were remarkable. The staff was experienced, prompt, self-guided, clean, and friendly. We received all positive feedback from our wedding guests not only about the meal but about the joyful interactions they had with the catering staff. Craig was excellent at ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the evening, including packaging up leftovers before leaving. Thank you again! We highly recommend and I know some of our guest are already planning to use Early Catering Company at future events.

I do not even know where to begin. Debbie and the entire Early Katering team were truly God sent and went far above and beyond the role of a caterer. Debbie is a FORCE to be reckoned with. So knowledgable with a "whatever you need, we'll get it done" attitude was truly a blessing. The food was absolutely delicious and we felt 100% taken care of from day one. We loved our experience!

I can't recommend Early Katering Company (EKC) enough!!! We used EKC to cater our wedding and it was one of our best vendor decisions. The EKC staff from start to finish was easy to work with, responsive, very friendly, detail oriented, and not to mention affordable for FANTASTIC food. Everyone at our wedding raved about the food and commented on how friendly the whole wait staff was. After our tasting with EKC we knew this was the place for us. They had so many options and we loved everything we tried! We were also able to substitute 10 plates with a different dish for our vegan guests and make small changes to individual plates with dietary restrictions. The vegan guests REALLY appreciated this and noted this is not normally the case for them at events. We also used two of their bartenders and everyone enjoyed their charismatic attitude, friendliness, and perfect drink pours. I worked with Debbie to plan our event. Believe me when I say no one works harder than her to ensure that every detail of your vision is correct. There was one issue with the rentals (not related to EKC) and Debbie fixed it within the hour and prior to the wedding day. I appreciate her timely attention at that moment, but also throughout the whole process with regard to our phone meetings and answering my never-ending questions via email. Debbie is so friendly and a joy to work with - this process would not have been the same without her! Catering is such an important part of any event, and you would be really missing out to not use EKC. Thank you ALL so much!!

Had our 40th high school reunion at this location and everything was absolutely wonderful! From Debbie assisting us with the menu, setups and day of decorations, this was a great venue and catering experience. The food was great along with the bartender for our cash bar!

I selected this company to cater my wedding, and it unfortunately was a disappointment. Throughout the process despite being explicit about our wishes, there were large errors on our wedding day. We requested to have chicken with a white wine/sage sauce, and instead on our wedding day it was just breaded chicken with no sauce. Similarly we requested salmon with their blackberry/bourbon glaze, and instead there was just baked salmon with no sauce. The food was additionally lukewarm, and those were our two main entrees, so that was extremely frustrating. With our charcuterie grazing board at cocktail hour, there were no crackers or crostinis present despite that being in the description and on our contract. We spent so much money and devotion on this aspect of our wedding day, only to have these issues occur and guests state their dislike of the food quality/taste.

Communication with this vendor was overall frustrating as the owner would often check up/clarify decisions that have already been established, and the items that she hoped to confirm were often not accurate. Five days before our wedding, she had asked to confirm if we had one passed appetizer, when we had previously established the 3 items we wanted passed around. I also did not utilize their rental services for glassware/cutlery, and because of this they were not planning to supply anything for our cocktail hour despite having a stationary table and passed appetizers. If I did not inquire about it, they were not even going to provide us with cocktail napkins for the passed appetizers!

I have been in contact with the vendor since and she was able to provide us with a partial refund (about 1/7 or 14% of what we paid), however this will not change my feelings or frustration present during my wedding day. I would not recommend using this company for wedding catering.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Early Katering Company was fantastic for our event at Rock Spring Mountain Farm! The food was incredible, with a presentation that impressed all our guests. The staff was professional, attentive, and ensured everything flowed seamlessly. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. We highly recommend Early Katering for any occasion—it was a flawless experience from start to finish!

Early Katering was the perfect choice for my small wedding near Charlottesville! They set everything up exactly as we had planned and the food was great. Highly recommend their garlic mashed potatoes and the salad with pears, goat cheese and walnuts!
