First time to this establishment! We gathered here to celebrate The Great Community Give, with a group of The Sadie Rose Foundation people.

The food was excellent! Service was great! Decor was neat! We highly recommend if you like cheese steaks!

This place sucks! Authentic Philly cheesesteaks? I don't think so. Philly cheesesteaks are dry meat on hard bread. The fries were not the fries in their picture. The menu shows shoestring fries tossed in olive oil as their "signature fries" but ours were more like steak fries and they were cold and soggy and we literally had 10 fries on our tray for $5.50. My wife got the onion rings as an upcharge and got 4 onion rings. The atmosphere was college bar and it showed. I can get a much better cheesesteak at Jersey Mike's. We waited 36 minutes for our food but on the plus side my wife ordered an 8 inch and got a 12.

Loved the lunch experience we had. Service was exceptional and food was delicious. Only complaint is it was cold in the restaurant! Bathroom was nice and toasty though😁

I ate at Urgies for the first time today (12-23-24), it was awesome. The cheesesteaks live up to the legend. The tater tots are great too.

A unique and memorable eating experience not far from the heart of downtown Harrisonburg. Not much wait for food and wasn't too crowded when we went. Would recommend!

subway is honestly better, jersey mikes blows it out of the water. The bread with the meat and everything off was better than the sandwich. Honestly the cheesesteak tasted like boiled steak without even salt, whole sandwich had no flavor sad effort. Did I stop eating? No, didn't taste bad just not good for 18$ it is just crazy, that meat better be wagyu but it was steak umms without seasonings. Go anywhere else, sorry urgs

Urgies is the closest to an original Philly cheesesteak that I have had since living in Virginia. Whenever I visit Harrisonburg while vacationing at Massanutten, I always include this restaurant as a place to eat. Being a Philly boy, it's like visiting home again. The service and atmosphere are great. Here are a couple of shots over the years.

Food is always solid whatever I try, however, every time I have been in there the same bartender is working. I think his name starts with an “L”? I have seen him walk around with a toothpick in his mouth that he touches repeatedly and then would make drinks and touch fruit without washing his hands. This time he lost the toothpick, but his service was seemingly worse. I have watched him ignore people trying to get his attention and he always has an attitude. I have been there before and gotten good service from other bartenders, but if I go back again and get him I will likely not return/leave.
