My husband and I came here on a whim after not being able to find seating at the nearby brewery. We were seated immediately and had some of the best food/drinks! We had potato croquettes, shrimp and grits, and the Saturday ribeye special. Our server was kind and took great care of us, and the restaurant had plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor.

Love, love, love this place! The food was absolutely delicious, every plate at our table was cleared because the food was so good! The restaurant is also very cute and rustic and the service was flawless. I believe our server’s name was Alex and he did a fantastic job! If we’re ever back in Harrisonburg we’ll definitely be back here for dinner.

We were traveling on Interstate rt 81 and were looking for a cool non-chain restaurant. WOW. What a nice find.
It was clean, bright, and had a very cheery atmosphere.
Our waitress was very pleasant.
We received what we ordered in a timely manner for the quality food that we ordered.
I had the French Dip sandwich with onion rings. My wife had a Grilled Chicken Ceasars salad wrap. Both of our meals were very good!
The bathroom was neat and clean.
The only downfall, for us travelers, was knowing where to park. There were a few spots on the premises, but we weren't sure if they were for the restaurant. Then we saw that the name of the larger building that the restaurant was inside of, was called "The Ice House." We parked in one of the 5 or 6 parking spots. The were, what looked like parking lost across the street, but I don't know if they were public parking lots.
We enjoyed our meal and we would recommend this place to our fellow travelers. It wasn't hard to find, and it was worth the detour. It was very easy to get back onto I81 with a great tour of a little town.

While driving down I81 for business we stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Nice place in a warehouse looking area downtown. The menu is loaded with interesting “foodie” types items, all made fresh, in-house, from scratch and they all sounded very appetizing!

Our server was excellent, friendly, and helpful. They have a full bar which looked like it was loaded with everything to make craft cocktails, as well as the typical rail drinks.

The items we tried were really good! Potato leek soup was excellent! Onion rings were perfect, so was the ranch dressing I dipped them into. Their open-face filet sandwich was really nice and perfectly prepared too.

Overall – Great visit! Would definitely recommend!

The food here is simply exceptional—easily a 10/10. Every dish boasts fresh ingredients and perfect portions, making it worth every penny. As a picky eater, I was genuinely impressed. I even found myself enjoying the green beans, a vegetable I usually avoid!

The service is top-notch, with attentive staff who consistently check on you to ensure your meal is perfect. I highly recommend trying the Meatloaf, and the Grilled Chicken and Risotto. You can't go wrong with these dishes; they are truly delicious.

Whether for a special occasion or a casual meal, Rocktown Kitchen is an excellent choice. Give this restaurant a try—you won't be disappointed.
